Foundry Concourse Blue

    Concourse Blue

    Howdy Gangstas! Its my second map, comin straight from the underground :D

    The map: Concourse Blue is the first map in my colors map pack. The map itself is a relatively small one-piece map set at the top of foundry. When i made this map i was trying to create a small map with a lofty/open feel. Archetectually, it's split into 4 levels:

    The Top: the top level is set at the very top of foundry right up against the soft boundary/ceilling. While the top has the greatest lay of the land, you cant jump while you're up there. main features are the walkway and reciever node.

    Red Level: red level is situated between the top and 45' slope. It is the MOST vulnerable place to be, but is not without its advantages. from the middle level a player has easy access to a regenerator and can access both power weapons .

    The Lower Level: the lower level is situated below the catwalk and houses the sender node to the top. players here are shielded by the 45' slope from the top floor. This level also has quick access to the shotgun and the grav lift.

    Ground Zero: ground zero is not where you want to be, it is the most vulnerable position and anyone can drop down on you at any time. A smart player will use the grav lift to get out fast.

    Weapons: The weapons on this map are small in number and really emphasize amo conservation, the key to each weapon is knowing when and where to use it. They include:

    1 Smg
    1 Needler
    1 Plasma Pistol
    2 Plasma Rifles
    1 Carbine

    Power weapons:
    1 Shotgun
    1 Battle Rifle

    Interesting features: When i built this map, i was experimenting with interesting LOS (lines of sight) and i found that a 45' hill can obstruct the line of sight from a level 30' up really well. the 45' hill makes for interesting gameplay, and splits the map horrizontally as well as vertically.

    It looks good from the Pics. I can't Download it but I would if I could. Looks quite small 1v1 size. You should draw it out on paintand show it too us with labels though. Kepp forging on.

    Good map but a litle post-it : merge your weapon holder in the box its gonna be looking better profesional ! But for the rest good job !

    On the left of the Shotgun Spawn screenshot, there appears to be a hole, underneath the double box. I was curious: Is the hole intentional, or were there limits which prevented the filling of the area?

    Otherwise, a creative, unique map.
