    Silicon Valley.

Approximate lap time (Mongoose) : 29 seconds.
Approximate lap distance : 496 metres
    Average speed : 61.5 km/h

Silicon Valley is a simple but satisfying track I created for a racing league I help run on the Roosterteeth forums. It pays tribute to the classic 'street' style track that can be found, in various guises, in practically every racing game ever made. The layout of the circuit, while perhaps slightly plain compared to many other tracks, flows beautifully, with a good mix of slow and fast corners to keep things interesting. The buildings and other surrounding features bring the track to life and help to enhance the sense of speed which is often missing from loopy-in-the-sky style tracks.

This track does not feature an uncheatable finish line. I do not race with people who cheat and I feel that the use of grav lifts negatively effects racing on pretty much every Halo 3 racing map ever made.

Silicon Valley's racing tends to be a very hectic affair. The map may not be quite the test of skill that my previous map, Mobius City was, but there's enough of a challenge to sort out the fast from the not-quite-so-fast while remaining enjoyable to those just looking to have some fun. In short, I would say, in my opinion at least, that this track is the most enjoyable to race on of all the maps I have made.

Lastly, using Bungie's new render-to-video feature, I was able to capture a short one minute preview video of my newest creation, Silicon Valley.

I hope you all enjoy it.

    Bungie.net Rendered Video.

    Download.

    Thank you.

No more pics needed for this one. I applaud you for escaping the typical race map layout, and adding a city feel to it. My large issue with it is that it doesn't seem like it's an official race map but a mess-around race map. So I don't know what I should say beyond that, as the design to it is very simple and clever, yet it is highly escapeable. I'll give you an 9/10 for the design and aesthetics, and I'll still give you a 9/10 for the crafting. I'm not sure how satisfying this map is in-game, but it could probably turn into a spawn-kill massacre, oh well...

YAY! another skillfull track. I like these because they actually take racing skill to win on them. everyone is used to just driving full speed around banked turns... and this is a good change from the usual. I really like how it is like a city... very cool. I will take any skill track from the maker of Mobius City and reace the heck out of it til i'm awesom at it... btw Mobius City=best track ever....

Amongst my friends it is as good as any other 'official' race map. If you really wanted to make it cheatproof you could put up the gate and turn gravity up high so you can't jump over the walls or anything. In any case, take it for a spin with some people who are actually interested in racing and I guarantee it'll be as good as any 'official' type map you've played.

Thanks for the kind comments, everyone!

That's cool that your friends don't cheat. My friends do cheat, so no DL for me. I like the idea of the map, it does look a bit simple minded though. You could have used man cannons if you hate grav lifts so much.

So your not going to download this awsome racetrack because you can not trust your friends? Im sorry but thats low. No offense but i mean come on. Race the track by yourself for a few laps its actually quite a ride. The drifting is 100% amazing! Nice job 5/5 for me!

No offense Knight, but your review scores really don't mean much to me. You gave Power Plant a 4.5 & you gave the track Defiance a 4.5 This you gave a 5 and it is completely on the ground. A drift track? It's all good.. Just don't come at me like that. If I don't want to DL, then I have that right. And your right, I can't trust the people in my parties. I hold huge out of control parties. So I don't waste my time with cheatable tracks. I DL tracks that are cheatable, this one is just too simple for me to DL.

nice layout of the map realy makes me think about GRID (a racing game (my favorite))... but it seems that you should of put more effort on it lik doing cheatproof destination or GEOMERGED banked tuns (only a bit so it improve fluidity)

i'll give it a 7/10 and no dl but continue making tracks it will only improve.

I have to agree with dream on this one, this map was way too simple and there wasn't even that great of athletics, just blocks standing up.

Looks to be a fun, scenery based tournament track. I'll give it a download and see how it is. Its been a while since I've seen a track in that style. The last I've seen of these tracks are on foundry mostly made from goldman.
