Monolith Created by Phantom Airwave Supported Gametypes: Slayer, Team Slayer, Territories, Oddball Map Description Monolith v3 is the third version of my first FH map. On this revision, I removed the teleporters, them being too difficult to move through and too easy to camp. They were replaced with the sniper rifles, which were moved off the edge platforms and replaced with power drainers. Secondly, the maulers were removed, making the to easy to camp also, also, new routes of reaching the top have been added, a main man cannon tunnel, and gravlifts. Please leave feedback and comment, I love to see peoples opinions, and be as harsh as you wish. Yeah I think that there is not really much more you can add to this map now. I think that its very symmetrical and fair. I think that people would rush to the rockets but i doesn't have too much ammo so it would damage the game much. Overall:7.5/10 For gameplay it plays well with objective and i think that territories would play well on this map. Regular slayer would play well too and the fair weapon spawns would help to improve the slayer experience. Gameplay: 7/10 Aesthetics wise, the map has a good look and I think it isnt the type of map for FX so it is good that you decided to take them out in V2. The look of the map makes it look like a mixture of aesthetics and playability which is a good combination because it makes people think, 'wow this map looks nice' and still be able to carry on playing the game. Aesthetics: 8/10
In my opinion the map looks decent. Some interlocking would make it look nicer, but interlocking isn't everything. I like how you did that weapon holder thing. I think the warthogs should be removed. It looks like it would control the map. I really also think that there are too many weapons. Maybe remove a regenerator and a power drainer and remove some BRs, I don't know. Its just my opinion. Good map overall.
I have a map with the same name. But mine hasn't gone through multiple incarnations. Not a bad map, seems a tad bit simple but good for balance. My map hasn't been uploaded yet due to some problems with photobucket. Anyway, good map.
