Alright so i have been working on this map. Had this idea in my head for awhile. But i suck at forging and haven't even tried to learn how to interlock(THANKS GUYS HA). I will give you some insite to the map. The Map has four levels of elevation and floors; Two airlifts to platforms, and is set up to be able to play Slayer, Team Slayer, CTF. Not too sure about the oddball or KOTH. Lines of site: Red Base to Blue Base: Can only see the edges. The middle structure is blocking the view. From Opposite Corners: Cant see anything at all. The middle structure blocks everything. What i am looking to do I am looking to make a map that flows for both team games and multi-team games, and FFA's. I am not sure on the weapon/power-up placement. But i would love to have both Rockets and a Sniper on the map. This map is going to need a lot of testing and figuring things out.

And it looks like you can see most of the way across the map from any point... This isn't the best for gameplay... Once you get a download link up and possibly some more screenies, I'll say more.
Speaking in non-merging-terms, this isn't horribly forged. I've seen alot of maps which have absolutely no merging whatsoever, and this is better then the lot of them in that sense.
Nice, you are the first OcR member I have seen on here You speak of not being able to geomerge, however your map is in the skybubble so geomerging would not be possible... do you mean interlocking?
OK, besides what's already been said(can't be geo-mearged, LoS, link) the only thing i can say is that, while the map looks good, it seems like, with all the "holes", it would be stupid easy to fall off the edge, especially without any gaurd rails. Also, if you are talking about interlocking and not geomerging, then i would recommend you check out forging 101 and that you do NOT have someone else do it for credit of your map. interlocking is dead easy, and is not worth giving your map away, especially with this amount of effort put in.
Speaking from competative standpoint, you need more cover, the entire map is visable from any point it looks like. The map itself doesn't look bad, and as other people said interlocking is dead easy, geomerging is when you merge with unmovable map geometry. Also, make the post up to FH standards including DL Link and maybe more info, like weapon spawns, ect. Overall, the map design seems like it could be pretty good if you tweaked it and added cover. Edit: also reminds me of this halo 2 map, desolation
Sorry for the in-proper forging vocab haha. But thanks for the criticism. This map def is not finished. I was just working on the basic lay-out and spawns and stuff. I will update the post so its a proper post and that i give some more detail. More pics will be up tomorrow showing lines of site.
In that case a mod is going to need to move it to the forge discussion, since it still needs testing etc. It looks good all in all, everyone else has already pointed out the things you could do to improve so all that's left really is testing, and maybe having someone help you set up koth, oddball etc.
For future reference, this section of the forums is only for completed maps. as for some advice about the map, the one thing that really stands out is: too many walkways, too little guardrails. i see you have some, but they really need to be almost everywhere, except maybe an area like a power weapon spawn where you want some risk to counteract the reward.
