Omg now things come down to a discussion from Graphics to Destiny. Soon it will go to religion and this thread will turn into a religious debate thread.

    Let's make it short.
    Don't Quit.

Everyone has placed their opinion. No more... I think EGP has found his answer.

Okay, I'm too lazy to read through all the posts. soooo......

You dont need to quit. Lets face it, half of us here wont make it big in any way.
You dont do GFX just to become a world renowned expert at it, you do it because you love it.
You never need to quit, GFX is a hobby. Some people may take it seriously, but again, most of us here take on GFX as a hobby.
I mean, isnt that part of the fun? Trying new techniques, see what works and what doesnt. Its Trial and Error.
Besides, some of your **** inspired me :p
Keep doing it man! You dont need to persistantly do GFX.
You can take breaks and come back whenever, no need to quit.

First off. Your a ****ing idiot. K?

Graphics isn't about the outcome, and what people think about it. Art is about passion, and what you think of it. If your in love with graphics, then keep doing it. You may not be considered good, but neither were many artists. Many artists did not become famous until after their death. Just keep at it. Enjoy it. Don't get caught up in this CnC bullshit, k? Don't worry about other people's standards. Make your own standards. Please only yourself.

However, if you want to go into computer graphics as a career, this advice has to be twisted somewhat in order to please your customer.

Yeah. That is true. But how many people on here do you see going pro and going into graphics design? I'm not trying to put out any one's hopes and dreams, but just about everyone here does this as a hobby. Whispers point is true, but hobby-wise, just do your thing.

I'm looking into it as a career. I've been told by several professors at colleges that I should pursue this course.

    Yea, you suck.

    (hopes crushed)

Other than that, you don't have to make signatures to enjoy them. In fact, I quit making them so I could forget how, and admire the works the people have made. I got too used to making signatures that I couldn't admire the signatures anymore. They all were dull, boring, unoriginal, etc. Now, I don't look at that anymore. So it's great now that I don't make signatures.
