i agree with him on the rest of the stuff being scattered but i think the boat looks really good even though it is an overused idea you pulled it off well greeat work on making the boat look good unfortunatly i wont dl due to the fact i probably wont play on it but 4/5 from what i see.
Spawn camp? so the humans spawn camped the zombies? did you use the recommended gametype when you played? because this gives the zombies x4 overshield so to spawn camp you would have to only assassinate which is difficult due to the spawn points at different angles... on a related note, i toyed with the idea of making the humans unable to leave the ship due to large jumps (zombies have 75% gravity) but that detracted from the aesthetics, which is key to this map. finally i toyed with the idea of two spawn areas for the zombies but i preferred one so humans could concentrate their fire (which is how the gametype is meant to allow play) and also budget/object limits interfered all in all, im very sorry that you feel you had a substandard game
this map is really good i enjoyed this much. i just wanted to put more in it but i saw you couldnt. its too bad because there are not enough weapons and equipment. and the ship could use more hidingspots and rooms . that would make the map really perfect. and one thing what was annoying it seemed like only the host can do the mancannon jump at the zombie spawn. we did find i way for most of the people to complete it by jumping and holding crouch. but its just annoying for the rest this map is good but it just misses a little bit.
yeah its kinda annoying about the hard object limit, I can't remember what the budget limit is but due to a new budget glitch (check out Forging 101) I may be able to add in a few more things, but it would be at the cost of more limited spawns(?) as aesthetically, i dont want to alter the ship! in terms of weapons... i wanted to have limited weapons anyway, to encourage teamwork. i mean, I could put secondary weapons on the gametype (magnums) would that help? but things that wouldn't work: Too many grenades (explode off) Stickies (1 shot kill) brute shots (explode off) plasma pistols (reduce 4x Overshield) Needler (Kills all) Grav Hammer (explode off) swords (can be taken from zombies anyway) regens (wouldn't help as humans are '1 shot' for sword anyway) bubble shields (read above) grav lifts (...maybe, just a bit pointless as all jumps are do-able) hope this clarifies weapon choice! as the man cannons. gosh, i no! i hate them as they vary all the time from person to person. In about 30mins of testing it worked every time for me unless... perhaps I screwed up the game type? all zombies should be on 75% gravity, was that the case? i hope so...
IMO this map offers the best gameplay out of all the casual maps! it was epic when there was 5 of us BRing from the middle ledge as the zombies were running across! it actually gets quite scary! lol 5/5 fo defs
haha yeah that was my basic plan, so the zombies are flying in and you hold inside before they man cannon to top deck! it can get pretty epic, especially with 8 people!!! all the ways up and down the levels make movement pretty smooth!
have you thought about making this a slayer map only or something? so you delete the zombie spawn and just have the ship for close quarters slayer?

Kind reminds me of a cruise ship or a tug boat. I like the idea with the zombies swarming the ship but the map should be cleaned up with more detail. Overall 3.5/5
yeah the ship itself is pretty clean, but the 'snakehead' was the hardest to get right, mancannons are such a b*tch! if you play it with loads a people, the swarming gets quite frightening!!!
I played it and have a few recommendations: Zombies are impossible to kill at close range as they are way to strong. You need to decrease the overall health or only have the Alpha zombie be the "Fat Kid" instead of everyone who is infected. Improve the Mancannon route, I usually either overshoot it and go over or undershoot it and miss the second one. And what are the fusion coils for? Make the bottom of the ship more accessible. It is very easy to camp especially with the instant respawn pallets. Try setting the pallets to not instantly respawn but instead either never respawn or respawn every minute or so. When the pallets fall off the bridge, they hit the Skybubble and are not destroyed. That causes the bridge to never respawn. Put killballs under the bridge and that will fix it. Overall, good map. I like the different routes the zombies can take.
thanks for both your comments! the plan was all zombies to be strong so that the humans must work together to damage the as much as possible before they reach the ship (which can be easily done if you're paying attention!) in playtesting it seemed well balanced but maybe alpha zombie has 4X overshield, other zombies 2 or 3X? yeah the mancannon was horribly difficult to build, it works for me almost all the time, but a lot of my friends say it doesn't work... i may just rebuild it. the fusion coils are there as the zombies are meant to land inside there to then choose one of two mancannons to the ship. by shooting the coils, tey all explode damaging the zombies quite a lot (this balances out the fact that it is the quickest route to the ship!) As for camping, the ship isnt very big and has only two hiding spots on it, and so humans are easy to find, and, because u've been hiding they get to the ship full health which is very hard to defeat. also, im not sure if you're aware, but it IS possible to jump DOWN the mancannon at the back of the ship and into the bottom, thus opening up this area. also the last man standing is always visible on radar, even when crouching, so it is a matter of time until he is found! The pallets fall off and this is MEANT to render the bridge unusable! i can get across it at most 3 times before there are too few pallets (jumping is the key) and then this forces zombies to choose another route, often the underused but highly effective rocks route. humans can also shoot or knock off the pallets, thus limiting the zombies choices, all this adds to the gameplay IMO
Awesome explanation, you covered everything. When you post a new version that changes what you said (4x shield for Alpha Zombie, 2x or 3x for Normal Zombies, Fixed Mancannon route) I'd love to download it again. So far, on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being maximum potential, I'd have to say 8.5. Cool scale, eh?
