Hello everyone, this here is my ship shape map pack, consisting of??? Ships (couldn't have guessed that ;)

These maps here are my best work so far, all are fun to play, and have been reworked and retested tirelessly by me for the past 2 months or so. As such I do hope you enjoy them! Due to school, I probably won't be forging again until this November, which is why I am happy I finished these on time :) Enjoy!
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    The UNSC Razorback
The first ship I have to present to you is the
UNSC Razorback which plays with the gametype Razorback TS

This map consists of two ships, the razorback and the [brick], 6-16 players, each ship has a bridge, two levels, a hangar, and multiple chokepoints. The razorback was made with aesthetics in mind, while the brick was made only for gameplay. You can enter the other ship via hornets in the hangars, but be careful! There may be someone waiting :)

    UNSC Humpback
The second ship I have for you is the
    UNSC Humpback

This is a ship with quite interesting gameplay. It is team slayer, but with 5 rounds, and 1 life per round. One team spawns outside with hornets, while the other spawns inside the ship's armory. There are 3 ways to get in, with varying levels of difficulty.
    1. Through the bottom of the ship into the hangar.
    2. Through the niche to the left of the viewing platform obave the ship.
    3. Through the engine in the back, but be warned! It may blow up....

The borders have the advantage of height, but the defenders have better weapons. This is definitly a "fun" game, and I suggest playing it with some friends.

Oh and did I mention? The hull(top) of the ship is playable as well :)

    UNSC Longspine
My third and last ship, is the
    UNSC Longspine

A long, narrow ship that plays very well on most gametypes. It is 2-8 players, and only get's better the more you have. Supports slayer, infection, assault, and ctf. One team spawns to the front of the ship, while the other is the "boarding" group who dropped in through the hangar, and correspondingly spawns there.

Immensely fun to play, please enjoy!

I do hope you enjoy these maps, and don't hesitate to tell me how you thought they were.

    Thank you all for reading!

have you interlocked much?? cause looking at the pictures i cant see any examples of interlocking also the ships look pretty sloppy in parts... the first ship where you said
the aesthetics look like you have placed as much as possible on the roof and you could of made the brick look a little nicer surely?... but i like the general concept of making a 'ship map pack' as you dont often see them. if you clean up your maps and make the ships a little more appealing you'll have my dl.

Although id usually respond to the first post with "interlocking ain't everything!" but hes kinda right, its sloppy in a lot of spots and with a ship you usually want to interlock too keep it,...well looking like a ship. although its not bad it could be much better.

I make all my ships gameplay first, aesthetics second. The brick just has no aesthetics whatsoever. I ran out of budget on the razorback.

The gameplay is great, why would you download a map just for looks?

    Yes I have interlocked.

you can't expect every map to have interlocking in it. without interlocking it can be smooth aswell. but anyways, i can tell the map wasn't put together in an hour, so atleast he put some time into the map. The map looks alright from my opinion, but not the best map.

Well, that has happened with me as well, my map Posidome had some of the best gameplay i had played on in a long time when i first played it. i never even expected it to work as well as it did, neither did every tester that looked at it, in the end they all thought the 2 v 2 gaming on the map was fantastic. Alas... very low amount of downloads simply because it LOOKED like it wouldnt play well. so sometimes it does matter.

Even so, they aren't sloppy or anything, I just didn't interlock on the razorback nearly as much as people wanted, I couldn't have fit any more.

Overall these took me a long time. If a few walls are uneven....

I agree that aesthetics aren't everything, but if you're asking that question, maybe you should rethink how you design maps.

No, I'm not saying you're doing anything wrong, nor am I insulting you. Rather, a map that looks good often attracts more attention, and makes us think that whoever forged it took time and thought about how it was going to look beforehand.

That being said, I don't think sandbox is that easy to make work aesthetically, especially for big budget and item projects. Though maybe that is just because of all of the stone.

Yes that was rather poorly put. Anyway I had to make some cuts just to fit the budget in as is, there were weapons on it and the brick did look better. Like I said though, had to make some cutbacks :/ I did interlock quite a bit on the Humpback and Longspine though.

All I can suggest then is to keep forging, and maybe take a few more pictures of the insides of the ships as well.

i really like the idea of a ship to ship battle, but from the pictures it looks like you could improve the neatness level a wee bit. I do however really like the idea of one team having hornets to attack a defending base on a ship, although i don't know how you would be able to keep the hornet drivers from leaving their hornets. 4.5/5 for ideas 3/5 for forging. keep up the forging fireskull

Strict xbox rules eh? ya mine suck to. you're not the only one out there

The ships are made for in-ship combat as well.

True, but the aesthetics on the maps aren't bad at all, they're just not up to prime forgehub standards.

Haven't really seen anything like this before out there; so with regards to the other comments congratulations for making a unique concept. A similar design to boarding action; did you consider putting on a lighting effect to emphasise the effect of space? Gameplay compensated greatly for the sometimes unpolished aesthetics. Other than this small issue, a very enjoyable map.
