    Renvisioned for a Better game Experience


    Many of you may have played the original Skycastle map or other versions but I was not satisfied with them so I decided to make my own. The major changes include rotating the castle about 45 degrees, no spawn camping, and redesigned castle. Rotating the castle really had no game play changes in mind because it was purely accident sort of.
    Spawn camping was a big problem in some of the other versions I had played so to fix that I created two separate spawn areas for the zombies. One of them are in the missile launch area behind the far base and the other one is below the castle, off to the side.
    I wanted to make a completely smooth surface for the castle floor and I believe I did as best as I could. The overall design reflects other castles but I also threw in some of my own flare.
    As for the game type, it is a fat kid variant changed to fit my map. I also wanted to create fair game play for humans and zombies. In this fat kid variant the fatty is invulnerable and can drive vehicles, and also has a sword and a hammer. The infected zombies run fast but are one head shot kill, they can also drive vehicles.
    To have fair game play for both sides I fixed the spawn camping which affected both sides so I new something had to be done. At the start of the game when the humans all piled in wart hogs usually someone was left behind so I turned a couple of them around so they couldn’t suddenly leave everyone in the dust. Along with that the humans start with pistols in case anyone was wondering. Camo spawns in the main zombie starting point to help get in the castle and balance game play.

    Points Changed:
    ~no spawn camping
    ~redesigned Super Castle
    ~No sparten left behind at spawn
    ~2 man cannnons to castle, 1 for "on foot" only
    ~No games with outragious human scores
    ~Overall thrilling experience of defending from the undead!

    Please do yourself a favor and have this version of Sky castle maps on your memory device instead of dealing with other less appealing castles. This is a sure hit for any infection gametype "if the zombies can drive" to arouse your party for multiple games to come. So what are waiting for, gametype included, to go have a blast on SkycastleBravo.

    youre pictures have an embedding problem. From the pics though, the small sky castle looks good for a 1v1 or a 2v2 map.

    Ive never really been a big fan of the skycastle maps. I don't like the fact that people could just drop down to the ground and camp or something.. But this seems better made than most other ones. There is actually interlocking.. thats a first :) I do think that the top has TOO many weapons. Try cleaning that up and it'll be alot better.

    But the fat kid is invulnerable, and you can't kill him, so lots of weapons don't make a difference really, only explosive weapons to blow up his vehicle. However, the idea of an invulnerability certainly means that there is increased difficulty for humans, so have you reduced the game time limit?

    i never really liked s.c. maps. ive had very bad experiences where id always just get spawned killed for about 10mins then id get pissed, throw the controller and ended up breaking the left bumper :D
    but you say this is for fat kid? i dont see how that would work.... usually fat kid maps are on mazes... idk tho this might be interesting,, but then again the fat kid has vehicles... which would make him a not so fat kid...
    so IDK....................................................

    The fat part mainly has to do with the low gravity and invunerability which I will think about changing because all the weapons and you cant even kill the fat kid, so maybe not invunerable.

    Skycastle maps, or the zombie spawnkill maps. Or the pathetic gameplay maps. I can't stand skycastle maps, even though this is the best one I've ever seen, they have pathetic 1-sided gameplay, and the teleporters that prevent normal infected from going through the mancannons greatly hinder gameplay.

    AAAhhhh! People like you are destroying sites like this. What a steriotypical commment you son of- I can't believe you you said such things and haven't even downloaded it.
    You apperently didn't notice the balancing of both sides and is in fact very fun to play. So don't go saying this even though it is not true.

    Geese, why did you post this?

    You have a lot of posts so you should know the standards of ForgeHub. We like maps that are cleanly forged, original, innovative, and fun. This is a variant of SkyCastle, a map that almost everyone at ForgeHub hates. You should know that by now. No one likes playing maps like these as they are way overused, unbalanced, and boring. The teleporters make the game extremely bad for the zombies, making it a one-sided game. Not to mention the turrets that the zombies can use to shoot people. Oh wait, it's instant kill isn't it? Not even going to give a rating because it honestly doesn't deserve one.

    In the hangar I understand that there are two double boxes. Now, in one freakin retarded gay version, there were guass worthogs in those two boxes. People would take those out of the boxes and just constantly shoot anyone that tries to get up. If there are warthogs there, I suggest you take them out.

    Th man cannon that spawns in 180 seconds sort of confuses me. When humans have regular gravity and zombies can jump high, how do they both get on the base? Shouldn't one of the two go way too low or high? I havn't tried it out yet so I don't know. Also, can the fat kid get up with that man cannon?

    Other than those two things this map looks like the best sky castle so far. I always liked sky castle except for the gay versions that everyone made. With all the spawn killing and stuff like that. Apparently, this map doesn't have that stuff. I had made my own version with spawn points all around the map and shield doors around the main spawn to prevent camping but this looks much better done.

    I also put alright weapons at the bottom and then the weapons got better as you got to the top. For this map, I think there should be at least like 4 weopon holders at the top. In each one plenty of a certain commonly used weopon. So when you immediantly need that weopon you can just easily grab that weopon, use it, and trade it back for your other weapon. I had that on my version and it worked very well. Instead of having to search for the weopon you want and not having the weapons all scatterd around.

    Im definatly going to download and I look forward to playing this with 16 people.

    Edit: I cant download the gametype.

    Sky castle, Great edit my friend!
    I hated it when I was infected because people would always camp in the warthog turret and just shoot the people before they even had a chance to get up. Now that you added the man cannon however, there are multiple ways for the zombies to get up which makes it a little bit harder for the humans (who always seemed to be favored in this game) and a little easier for zombies (who had it tough to begin with).

    Too many major problems.

    The zombies can not jump right into the hanger, they have to jump to the side on the bridge. There are not enough weapons. The weapons are way too spread out. The zombies and the fat kid can not take the man cannon up that spawns under the base.

    I was very disappointing when I played this with people and it epically failed.

    Im sorry but im deleting this.

    Well in one of your earlyier posts it said the link to my gametype was broken, which it was. By the way it is fixed now. So there is no way you played with MY gametype because it sounds like the one you played had heavy gravity unlike mine which has normal human gravity and 75% zombie gravity.

    Sweet, that is very cool but next time you might want to accually post things that relate to the map in it's current state. And give good feed bsck of gameplay.

    Well I guess I overlooked that little detail. But still, the weapons are way too spread out. And in this version, you have to walk through a hallway to get to the next level. Instead, that hallway should be optional. So as soon as you walk up the bridge you can go up a grav lift or take a teleporter that leads you to the top or second to the top.

    Now in infection having weapons constantly at yourd isposile with out even having to move creates a armory type effect. Which in turn impacts gameplay drasticly moving twords a one sided game.I want players to have to explore to find new weapons. Not just see which one looks the best in a huge pile. Also if you would have jumped around a little you would have found an alternate route to the 3nd floor. By jumping on the barrier on the back side of the castle it takes tou on top of that double box you just walked through. And on top of that is a grav lift that will take you straight up to the 4th level. I will consider the teleporter idea as I thought it was a good one.

    It has been done before, but this maps looks pretty good. The forging is good and everything, so I'll DL it, and get back to you on gameplay ok?
