    ZANZIBAR V1.1 - NOW WITH SPINNING WHEEL AND WORKING DRAWBRIDGE.
    • The wheel now spins
    • The drawbridge now starts from the upright position.
    • Base window covers now drop into place via button.
    • Machinery inside base now rotates.
    • Gate no longer glitches out.

    Hi everyone,

    I realize xXBarthXx released his version of Last Resort the other day but I've been working on this (on and off) since Forge was released, So I would like to introduce my remake of Zanzibar from Halo 2.

    The wheel now rotates and the drawbridge starts from the upright position. Since I don't play matchmaking at all, It hasn't been tested in a populated custom game. That's where you guy's come into play.

    Any area you could superbounce to in Halo 2 is playable with no death barriers. Clamber works really well with this map and opens up new routes that weren't possible in the original Zanzibar so test them out and let me know your thoughts.

    It looks pretty awesome! I'll have to compare to mine sometime next week when I get online :)

    Hopefully they release a patch soon that fixes scripting so we can make our wheels turn and bridges drop properly :)

    This map has a lot of potential but i see things here and there that could be cleaned up like transitions with ramps and bumpy floors. I don't know why, but your gate completely glitched out on me and my friend to where parts of the gate were in the sky and the rest of it was in the middle of the map. Each time we pressed the button they would go further along in the same direction. My friend complained about the hole in sea wall, that it's too blocky but i think that's him just nitpicking. I really like your map because it's closer to its halo 2 counter part and i think there's room for both yours and Barths. Please keep up the great work and make this map as good as possible :D

    I see what you mean about the gate. If you keep pressing the button the gate keeps moving.

    That's exactly the testing/feedback I need. I'll fix that and any other suggestion you mentioned in a future update.

    To fix your issue with the gate, if you are using the interactive console, use the small number pad have it scripted to despawn the number pad and set the respawn for 5 seconds or so. Build your own button looking console thing over the number pad so no one sees it despawn. It is a form of a fix, because I know I might even hit the button twice and that causes it to move out of place. I did this on my star destroyer bridge map for a cool effect on the big door opening.
