1. Grand Finale

    Using the feedback from the final playtest earlier today, I have successfully scaled the map down and made it less open. There is more reason to go outside, the house's top floor is more vulnerable (and not from below this time), there is a pagoda structure, a well, and more.

    There is now assault rifle ammo in the map as well.

    Overall, I think the map is finally ready and perfected.
  2. Final Update

    I've finished adding aesthetics and details to the house completely now. The upstairs is no longer as blank and empty, and the first floor has some detail and furniture. The tunnel in the back of the map has had some modifications, and some of the open space in the outside has been decorated without becoming overwhelming.

    I'm proud to say that the map is ready for judging in the Hub of the Dead contest. It's been a long trek, but it's been a fun one.

  3. Finishing Touches

    Welp! With just this latest Forged Friday, I've gotten the final feedback for the map and have tried to follow through with it. I was unable to really scale down the map, but I have attempted to incorporate the cave in the back a bit more. How that will work out is to be determined, but I have given it a more overgrown theme. Plant life and all.

    I have finished decorating the upstairs floor! There is now a bedroom, a couch with a TV (which is fully punchable), a boarded up window, as well as some lighting around the house. The map should play better, and look better too.

  5. The Tuning Patch

    I've fixed up places where players were able to break out of the map. I have also made the cabin's top floor more vulnerable to attack, but not in the way one would think. Yes, there are two more routes to access it. But not quite.

    I have also detailed the gulley a bit so the crashed van has a reasonable explanation to how it got where it did. I have also begun detailing the upstairs floor in the cabin, and have detailed the first floor, as well as added a new power weapon. It's not...
  6. The Smoothing Patch

    Finished fixing the Infected spawning. Due to standard Infection using line-of-sight for its spawns, I was forced to accommodate that and redo a chunk of the map. Not a large chunk, but a chunk nonetheless.

  7. The Function Patch

    I have toned down the fog massively, and fixed up spawn and respawn points for Infected, as well as removed some of the barriers. Working on making the other barriers unnoticable. Will post updated pictures ASAP.

    Pretty much just made it so Infection can actually be played. The one-way barrier did NOT work as it should have, and would not allow the Infected to even leave their spawn area. The drastically reduced fog should make it so you can actually see.
