    The Definitive Reimagination-Remake of Waterworks.

    Waterworks is a unique map since we have not seen one like it since Halo 2, its Remakes were impossible but with the power of the new forge, now it is possible.

    Weatherworks is the definitive edition of Waterworks being a reimaginacion faithful to the original map, with an incredible atmosphere, without equal.

    Weatherworks is a map that was first a project that did not continue, because the rock type did not convince me and I did not have experience to do this Remake.

    History

    The idea was to see a Commander Colson documentary (not how to call it) in which he explained how to make your map look bigger, astonishing, and a clear example is Scavenger, a visually amazing map. So after watching that video I got the idea of making this remake revive this project that I left abandoned for months.

    Design of the Aesthetics

    The map looks totally amazing and in fact it is seen that it is gigantic, massive, you can see in the distance gigantic cliffs and rocks that look spectacular, the central structure looks imposing, mysterious in a single word, Forerunner.

    The map has structures that look really classic, from the tower the view is really paradisiacal you can appreciate how a battle unfolds at your feet. The sound of metal colliding with the earth, sand scraps falling from the heights, this map really looks amazing.

    The pieces of forge look very good on this map in addition to being functional, the combination of structures and natural scenarios is very good.

    Layout

    Now talking more about the design of the map itself, this is quite similar to the original, however redesign the atmosphere and structures, they look classic, there will be a change in structures, the bases are different from the original map but they fulfill their purpose, Despite all these changes the map retains its origianl structure, specifically the accommodation, it is as if it had taken the map and redesigned it but when playing it you know that you are playing in the original.

    The weapons, that if it was totally changed, however its accommodation is very funny, on the one hand the blues have access to the Halo 2 beam rifle and the red ones to the Sniper, the central weapons are a classic rocket launcher and a Saw, placed of Respectively above, the saw is in the highest part of the map in a viewpoint, the weapons reappear every 3 minutes, and an active camo every 2 minutes, the latter located in the upper center.

    As for the vehicles, these were changed from the original, at each base there is a Gausshog and a Gungosee, along with a Scorpion. The banshees were eliminated since it wanted that the control of the central base was key to dominate the game since this one has the function of a fortress.


    The map is ideal for CTF, for it is designed the map and play it in this mode is really spectacular.

    I want to thank commadercolson since without this video this map would probably not be built

    Beautiful map! Waterworks was one of those really epic Halo 2 maps where you just look up at the massive skybox/caverns and say "and uh...there it is."

    I like this a lot. Are you sure about the slayer target though?

    Edit: The bases are pretty good (especially the red/blue parts), but I think the bottom of them need more structural support. Maybe add a real floor to the base too, like the original. The catwalks on the rock walls are okay, but I think they could be beefed up with more structure too (support those staircases). The sandtrapish mini structures are sweet, but the top is a bit detached (holes are visible), maybe patch that up a bit.

    As for the prop aesthetics, I'm not sure what faction you're going for. Who is supposed to be occupying this forerunner space? The UNSC, the covenant, or sangheli? I was getting mixed messages with the decals, lights, and crates. Maybe you could make it more clear.

    I also think you mean weather instead of wheat.

    The faction represented in the structures is Forerunner, however each base was "colonized" by a faction, the red by humans and the blue by Covenant, this to give variety to the map and to make it feel different in each side, that good that you liked the map.

    Really loved the map and my lobby did as well. The atmosphere of the behemoth rocks above the map skybox was so cool to look at and take in as I shot Spartans :)

    And here is some feedaback from my lobby

    >Terrain could be a little bit more smoothed out for infantry and mainly the scorpions as players wanted certain vehicle lanes to be widened for more scorpion access around both sides of the circular lay of the map.

    > Many agreed that the gausshog would be better replaced by rockethogs, with many players liking the inclusion of the vespin warthog as replacement

    >Some believed that the roads that led into the middle structure could also be widened out for players and vehicles.

    Good thing you liked the map.

    I like the idea of including the Rockethog Vespin
    Those of the roads of the center leave so for the reason of avoiding that the scopions remain in the main structure, however will take into account your recommendation,
