\\\BACKGROUND///
Violet Courtyard II was initially a military camp known as "Fort Violet". Sitting off the shores of [classified] on the planet of [classified], it had two functions. Keeping the people on the near shore safe, as well as studying Covenant/Human hybrid tech. This was done in secret and under ONI's radar. However, after the end of the Human/Covenant war, it was abandoned and deemed unsafe. The base was unfunded, all marines discharged, and all the equipment was confiscated... or so we think. A year passed before it was converted into an off shore convention center.
Sadly, nothing good lasts forever...
\\\MAP DETAILS///
The map features a semi-symmetrical layout with weapons featured on both besides the power weapons. For power weapons, we have on Stage Side: the Brute Shot. On Court Side, the Sniper. Each of those said sides has a Shotgun, and a Suppressed SMG. There are normal SMG's on the map as well as grenades. In the center corners there are magnums and BRs, and under the center catwalk, the Energy Sword rests, waiting to be claimed.
This map focus' on movement, all 3 types of combat (close, medium and long range), and offers plenty of paths to get around the map. The game is meant for 2v2 but works with 3v3 and might work with 4v4. There are a couple secret weapons on the map but will not be mentioned since they are secret. The map also features hand crafted stairs in two sections and work flawlessly. Inspiration from the Firefight map in New Mombasa as well as the first Violet Courtyard created by me in Halo 4. As I gain play testers I will update it more to fix and tweak any bugs.
If you want to download this map to try it out, go ahead and go to (in game) Roster, press A on your name, go to find player, search "MJ Rookie", and download Violet Courtyard II: At Bay. I will have a video walk through of this map up soon, so stay tuned for that.
Though I have had better in Halo 4 or other games (could just be nestalgia talking), this is my favorite map I have created in Halo 2 so far and I am very pleased with the way it has turned out (so far). I hope you enjoy and would love to hear feedback! Thanks everyone!
