In this map you'll find yourself fighting through caves corridors, rooms undergoing construction that was never finished, ruined streets, and a barren desert.
Whether you fight in the open desert and streets using the mantis found in the central courtyard or in the towering skyscrapers utilising both the brand new plasma-nade turret (made using weapon glitch) and the camo in the lower flooded corridoor you'll have plenty of fun in this destiny themed, asymmetric btb map.
Strongholds:
(Strongholds is the main gametype for this map)
Red teams spawn by the first stronghold ("dunes") in the desert area while Blue team spawn in a mysterious grimy room inside a skyscraper on the opposite side of the map. The second stronghold ("fridge") can be found right next to this spawn near the elevators and the final stronghold is in an upper room that can be acsessed by the upper walkway, a stairway, a window which provides a jump up from the desert and a destructible vent which provides a sneaky entrance from the desert.
Aesthetics:
While making this map I have put alot of work on the aesthetics which include towering skyscrapers, a wonderful desert backdrop which just happens to be positioned perfectly in line with the sunrise and even some underwater areas. I have also tried hard to create a ruined, abandoned and overgrown feel to the map similar to the area from the first mission on Venus in destiny, on which the map is based.
Slayer:
This map provides a great mix of wide open streets for use with the mantis and tight spaces for infantry while also providing a lot of verticality. Play often filters to the upper walkway in slayer but if you want to get your hands on the mantis or powerweapons it would be wise to venture elsewhere.
CTF:
CTF was added as an afterthought but turned out to work quite well. Gameplay is well spread out over the whole map and while the flag spawn may not seem fair - blue teams is found inside where the "fridge" stronghold is and red teams is outside by "dunes" - the map balances strangely well.
Thanks to Ascend Hyperion and Max extra for testing and everyone who joined that one time I managed to test it myself. Also thank you to anyone who's given this map a chance a tried it themselves.
This map has come together really nicely. However, the testing process is never truly over so please give it a try. All feedback is welcome.
Thanks everyone - GrayishPoppy210
