Hey guys, it's been a long time, hasn't it?
As of now, the map has been played 232,721 times! That's more than duckhunt!
I've been wanting to make this update since the 4k update dropped, which has allowed us to make "true random respawns", something that has hindered Vehicle Fiesta since its creation.
Thanks to the new changes, the map now supports 16 players, although be aware that you might experience some frame drops in full lobbies.
The map is also potentially matchmaking-ready. wink wink 343?
Here's the full list of changes
Gametype changes:
(+) Both gamemodes now support 16 player lobbies
(~) minor changes to both "Strongholds VF" and "FFA Vehicle Fiesta" gamemodes
Gameplay changes:
(+) Revamped respawning system*
(+) Added 2 new arena spawns for flying vehicles
(+) Added 4 new arena spawns for ground vehicles
Map changes:
(+) Added fixed camera for round-based gametypes
(~) Modified Red Stronghold hill
(~) Facilitated access to all stronghold platforms
(~) Other minor structural changes
Performance improvements/bug fixes:
(+) Ingame performance slightly improved
(-) Removed large amounts of unnecessary objects and lights
(-) Fixed exploit that allowed players to leave the arena
(-) Removed [REDACTED]

*Revamped respawning system: The map now works more akin to other fiesta gamemodes: you are now assigned a vehicle immediately, teleporters are no longer required. The use of teleporters was a workaround that worked well, however it limited the lobbies to about 12/13 players. The introduction of a true random respawn system has allowed for the removal of those teleporters (which were used to randomize the vehicle assignment) for a cleaner, more intuitive system.
