Map Description

  1. Kenjamin1 MI
    This is a Re-Imagination of the Halo: REACH multiplayer classic ‘Uncaged’. Built during Fall of 2016.

    Canvas: Breakout Arena

    Built in a Black/Green and White breakout art-style. Supports Slayer, FFA, Assault and Breakout. *Breakout isn't well suited to this layout and CTF is iffy.

    *I re-made this in Halo 4 as well, I'll add a ref. photo. - JAMN

    It has enough tweaks and differences that I think it is a re-imagination and not-quite-close-enough to be a true remake. Fun with friends, I may still adjust weapons and respawns, but it’s good to go.
    You may get some frame-rate issues above the main patio, but the floor pattern looked 'too cool' for me to change it, to try to fix it. I hope it doesn’t ruin your gameplay.

    BONUS: Added a zipline from middle, for another path towards Red side.

    ** Very Unusual - Green Light reflections seem to have made this map TOO shiny and too green. I have no idea why this happened?
    The map is not as nice as the pics anymore? wtf? ...sorry.

    I'm slightly saddened that you chose to make it as a breakout aesthetic, given the limitless potential forge offers. But its still nice to see someone construct it. Many good infection memories were had on this map.

    - It was a frequently played map, whether you wanted it or not. I went for the breakout-look because I was putting it in the Arena canvas, kinda just fits.

    I started forging on Parallax the other day and also noticed green reflections on objects, no matter what Skybox. I also checked for Green Emissive objects but didnt find any. Are you having the same issue?

    could be a safe zone or you unluckily managed to get a green block right on the light box manipulation thing, whatever you call it.

    Uncaged and The Cage were so common in multiplayer matches. (in REACH) - even in the infection playlist.

    This H5 map is not setup for Infection.

    I only found the "green shine" by chance, loaded up in forge to count spawns, looks correct until you bake the lights. I didn't find the same issue on my other 'arena canvas' forge maps. You can see from the pics, I didn't intend for so much green shine. Spoils the look of floor pattern. This was built a while back, I'm sure I didn't switch off light-bake on each item, like I sometimes do now. ?dunno its weird?

    I found a BossUnderdogs video from 2017...
    shows this map without the weird 'green' reflections.
    I think he wasn't fully impressed by it? Thanks for checking it out BossUnderdogs!!

    UPDATE - A bit of experimenting, and it looks almost like new.
    I found the location, approximately, 0.00, 0.00, -3.00.
    This corrected just about all of the unintended shine.
