A symmetrical map with a small focus on verticality. It has a theme based off of something I imagined myself, a slight garden theme. It has terrain scattered in places which adds a soft touch to the maps structures and compliments the garden theme. Built for the Extermination Map Contest so therefore plays Extermination, will be making a 2v2/1v1 version after the contest is over.

    Note:
In addition to the weapons selected from the list, I also have a Sentinel Beam on the map.

  1. Love the theme of this map. The autumn feel is great and makes this map unique along with how perfectly symmetrical and easy it is to learn the lay out.

This is the best aesthetic looking map you have so far! You're getting much better as you go.

thanks, personally i'm not happy with my previous maps except for Plantation but I'm not allowed to take them down so I'll get round to updating them eventually. When I forged the others it was before I joined forgehub so I wasn't aware of the standards.

There isn't really "standards", but more of a utilize what the game engine offers philosphy. If we were only given lego's, only map variations we would see would be single color maps, multi color maps and maps with floors one color and walls a different color. Halo 5 offers over 1700 pieces and endless color combinations so, not only focus on a layout, but make it look interesting also.

For your next map if I may suggest, go through the forge pieces and find a pallette of them you like. Place a ton of them on a map off to the side and use them mostly to build it. Obviously use primitives to do the main stuff and use the pallette you chose/created for that theme as decoration. This will help you get more familiar with the pieces available and to create a cohesive environment on your next map.

That's kind of how I done this map, I played around with the pieces until i found a few things I could use for interesting aesthetics as opposed to my previous designs where I made the layout first and worked from there. Next time i'll try combine both methods :)
