Map Description

  1. Shadowcat AZ


    Turmoil is my very first submission from the HMC edition, and probably my last as well since the method of uploading and the Forge are so much easier to work with now! ( insert sarcasm here) Actually, since the release of the newest version of Forge, I just have not been able to get my head into it until now.

    Thanks to all who helped test this map, and for all the future testing that is to come.

    The most current version of Turmoil is in my fileshare, just search for Shadowcat AZ to download it and please enjoy this map.

    Update: King of the Hill and Oddball have been added to Turmoil. Also, soft kill zones have been added to the favorite camping spots as well as spawning modifications. Added video of game in action.

    Update: Juggernaut has been added to Turmoil!

    Update: To improve gameplay, the back of the base has been redesigned to allow movement all around buildings. Rockets have been relocated to this area.

    Very beautiful Map! I like it but you need a death zone.. you can easily jump out of the map...

    Nice map! Got to be careful when you use tin cups though. They have an invisible wall on them. If I was to stand on the grass I would not be able to shoot outside of it. While others would be able to shoot me. Other than that this map looks gorgeous.

    Thanks Echo, I was worried that the piece count being up in the near 500, just under in fact, that there would be too much lag, but it seemed to work well.
    I know, but due to limited amounts of aesthetic grass alternatives, it became necessary.

    This map is WAY bigger than it looks, lol. It might even struggle to play 4v4! Overall, I really like the layout and it should play nicely, but there are 2 things that bother me. One is the size, as I have stated, and one is the frame rate issue. Im pretty sure you could remove the frame rate by shrinking some areas and removing some of the trees in the rocks.

    It IS a large map, in relation to the players, but with the numbers of people playing these days, I figured limiting it to 4v4 would have the best impact. As for the lag, I have removed a lot of extras that were originally on the map, and it helped, but I was leaving the rest on it for aesthetic reasons.
