As has become habit for me at this point, one thing I'll do in a new forge is to remake Turf, a classic and beloved battleground from Halo 2. This time, however, I had a good bit of help and helpful feedback from several members of Creative Force, and I was able to implements a few cool tricks that I otherwise wouldn't have known about.
The map is scaled up from the original map about 20%, so it's barely noticeable, and the combat is still tight and hectic. All areas of the map are proportional to the original map, so you won't see any areas wildly larger or smaller than they should be.
Aesthetically, the map borrows a lot from the Halo Online remake, Icebox. It takes place on a snowy night inside a large city. However, there was one necessary element to pull from the original Turf, and that was the downed Scarab in the alleys. To my knowledge, this version of Turf is the only one in Halo 5 to date that has a Scarab.
The weapon set is mostly identical to the original map, save for the Bruteshots being replaced with 3-shot Railguns, and the Plasma Rifles being swapped for a mix of Supressors and Storm Rifles.
There's not much else to say about Turf, so I and the rest of Creative Force hopes you all enjoy the map!
