Map Description

Tubular! is my first attempt at a minigame. It is pretty much Ricochet with thrown shots being the same value as walk ins with tweaked gravity and speed. You can launch yourself up the halfpipe and catch major air as if you were on a skateboard or bike. A Rocket Launcher spawns in the center with a 60s respawn and Player Loadouts are Energy Sword primary and Sentinel Beam secondary. The physics make this simple map a whole lot of fun to play on and it sort of feels like Grifball bc of how basic it is. If anyone has any suggestions, I would be willing to change some things, as this isn't my usual type of map, but so far, the matches I played on it have been pretty good.
I can be found in the H2A Timed Run Leaderboard Cairo Station Easy

  1. Simple, classic fun. I love anything Grifball related and this is certainly related. I wish there was a way to be more coordinated with your team outside of just slaying then scoring when the enemy team is dead but sadly we don't have those option in H2A. I would definitely recommend this Map/Gametype to any group of buddies looking for a fast-paced good time.
The best tip I can offer is to use this half-pipe-like map to the fullest by sprinting up the sides into the air to get behind the enemy team under their goal. Then, when they spawn, sword them in the back for an easy score for your team. Now quit reading this review and go play on TUBULAR!

@[span]Chronmeister I just want to say that your maps have been really impressive and I can't wait to see what you can do with Halo 5 Forge. Keep up the awesome work man and teach the rest of us underlings the way. Also, post Red Sea on here. Don't know WTF you haven't ;)[/U]

@Bovine. Thanks alot man. I think this map will play better with 6v6 which I haven't been able to test yet. Im happy to help in the future if you or anyone else needs any feedback, but I am still just an amateur myself. The only thing I think I have a good grasp of is aesthetics. Im glad you like Red Sea so much. I think that one and Short Circuit are probably my best. I have a hard time going into forge with a plan. Every time I do, I end up completely changing what I set out to make. I have tried drawing maps and then forging what I draw, but that ends up taking much more time and never turns out the way I envisioned it. My method is just to start forging and if I don't like what I see or how I think it will play, I just either start over or completely rebuild sections. I try to go in with very basic ideas now and then build on them while in Forge. If I have too detailed of a plan, things never seem to work out for some reason.

I've never been a pre drawing guy myself but having a plan before I start is something I need to do from now on. Some of the forgers around the web do a lot of pre work, which is the proper method, but I get too excited to started building and just go for it :p but in the future I am going to start doing all the concept work to see if that really helps me out ;)
