Treefall is an original, height-dynamic BTB and BTB CTF map primarily.

Treefall is built on Alpine and attempts to capture a classic Halo feel to the map. As well as adding new aesthetic touches inspired by Halo: Reach.

The map features 3 levels of combat.

    1. The Bottom Level: A long stretch from blue base to red base with a narrowing point with two elevated areas above on either side.
    2. The Middle Level: A hill to the back side of the map. Accessible from both Blue and Red base fairly easily, this is where the Forerunner building is. One overlook down to the middle stretch.
    3. The Top Levels: The top of the Forerunner structure, and the rock pillar. Both of these points have the map's power weapons on them. The Binary Rifle, and the DMR. The top levels are accessible from foot, and both include gravity lifts as an option to get to the tops.

    • Treefall is built for fast faced action and surprises. Hosting 8v8 BTB CTF will provide the most intense experience, while 4v4 works well and 2v2 will still function, but on a much slower rate.
    • Treefall focuses a bit on map control, and the advantages of who has map control, but there are many ways to overthrow the controllers.

On either base, there are two Mongooses and a Warthog available for use. These can be used as transport, or for your own sake to get to a better weapon faster.

    Playtested and approved.

Me and my friend Devin went through your map and to be honest we were disappointed.
The bases, although they look like they're supposed to be symmetrical, have too many differences.
There's a lot of rough transitioning with floor pieces.
The bases and platforms are too simplistic.
Most of the best details of the map are its aesthetics such as the terrain work and the tree placement.
Maybe adding a second level to the bases and making them more accessible and adding more complexity to the middle structures.
This map has a lot of potential and I'd like to see it reworked.

    Thanks for the feedback, Insanity.

I'm curious though, have you played the map with at least 4v4? Or was it just you and your friend looking through. This map isn't the best, I realize, but it does play beautifully, I thought, as well as some others.

I'll see what I can do about the bases.. Although they aren't meant to be focus points. The differences are purposeful, unless you can provide a small example that perhaps I glossed over. When it comes to a second level, I'd point out the map is made for real team cooperation, so if you find it a tad difficult to get up the ramps with the flag, it's because you really should have team mates to help you.

But thanks for complimenting the terrain. I am proud of that to be perfectly honest.
