"The water here is drawn from wells that went dry centuries ago..."Timeframe is an ATN Extermination map. What is Extermination? Teams of four face-off in a 1v1 to 2v2 sized arena with the goal to eliminate the other team. What's the catch? In order to win the round, the entire enemy team must be dead at once and with a 15 second respawn time, that is your window to do so. Chaotic, fast-paced and most importantly fun, Extermination is guaranteed to get anyone's heart pumping.
In terms of play, Timeframe is built to amplify fast-paced, face to face engagements while allowing for intense sprint circuits in and out of the map geometry. The layout is simple, but players are allowed to manipulate the structures for varying jumps, clambers, ducks and dodges. I also allow for some risky play on the map, as parts of the Out of Bounds areas could be used to escape a fight or weave around a conflict. Can you return before the timer is up? Will you get caught in the isolated Out of Bounds space? Time for Extermination.

-------------------------------------------------------When building Timeframe, I told myself this was going to be the last Vex themed map I did. Three is a good number and if I did anymore, I'd end up like Kabr himself. With that in mind, I looked back at Chronology and Gatelord and did my best to apply what I learned from both here. Players that have played both might readily recognize some references to both maps actually. I wanted Timeframe to not only play well, I wanted it to have a cinematic quality, and I did a bit of work in really rooting the play space into the canvas. Regardless, I hope my effort shows and I hope you all enjoy the map!
One last time...
Timeframe is set in a Vex structure that is actively manipulating time. The ancient Vex machine actually draws water from a different part of time before the area became an expansive arid wasteland. As such, spots of green and life are scattered about the play space as nature attempts to reclaim it's time-lost assets. Be careful though! As you leave the play area you become detached from the timeline and the last thing you want is to have never even existed! Praedyth knows much about how that feels.
From the Dark Corners of Time
I did my best to try to blend the Extinction weapon pool with things reminiscent of Destiny. That's actually a tad harder than it would seem. I feel I positive step though. The Railgun on the map is the Req varient that allows for two shots before reloading and it sorta reminds me of The Sleeper Simulant.
Heavy Ammo Available
Like mentioned above, this map is built and catered to ATN Extermination. While it does support base slayer variants, Extermination is it's strongest mode. Gather some people up and fight to see who can earn their place atop the crumbling Vex machine!
