Two teams spawn on opposing rock structures outside a massive, menancing ship. The gamemode is a variation of King of the Hill, where each team must make their way through slippery rock formations to capture the ship in the center of the map.
The teams spawn with magnums, energy swords and a grenade, and will fight to control the ship. Only one team can be on board in order for that team to score points. The ship is equipped with deadly cannons and power weapons scattered across the decks and high up in the main mast. The team on board the ship become the defenders and must hold their ground against the attacking team making their way to score points. The defenders must use the tools given to them and traverse the ship while repelling the attackers.
Meanwhile, the attackers must make their through the rocks while getting bombed and shot at by the defenders. They must make use of the fact the ship is completely destructible to blow enemy cover, sink the cannons and even destroy the masts in order to successfully board. With clever aim, positioning and teamwork, as well as the gauss cannon in the spawn area, each team has a chance to capture and defend the ship.
As the match progresses, each team will gather more and more points while blowing more and more holes in the ship, making it more and more difficult to watch your step and fight on board, and leads to, in my opinion, some of the most entertaining sword fights. This makes every match get progressivly more chatoic and fun as the timer ticks.
On the ship you will use:
-A sniper on the main mast
-10 cannons on each side (gungooses.. gungeese?)
3 on the upper and lower decks
4 on the middle deck
-A SPNKr on the bow of the ship
-Ravening Sliver on the front of the middle deck
-A gravity hammer in the captain's quarters (middle deck)
-Blaze of Glory in the storage room (lower deck)
-beyonet DMR in the front of the lower deck
-SPNKr Prime in a secret location
You can reach the top of the mast by interacting with the bottom of the ladder. If the mast falls it won't work though.
Everything is set on "Normal" physics except for the bow of the ship, so thoeretically the whole ship can vanish except for the bow and figurehead, but it doesn't actually happen.
The gauss cannon at each spawn point is a detached turret, and is only meant to be used from the spawn area. Due to the limted movement you get from holding it, you won't be able to jump across the rocks and use it on the ship.
Players have twice as health and shields than usuall, which means it takes two swords hits to kill, 3 sniper headshot and quite a few magnum bullets. Assassinations are still instant kills as well as headshots on shieldless enemies.
No sprint, but slightly faster movement and all other spartan abillities.
Finally, here's the "Night" version of The Ship.
