After having spent a long while in a state of limbo (the map was started July 30), The Crag is now in a finalized state. The Crag takes the base idea of Ascension, and tweaks it slightly. While the upper level is still a major play space (with it being the current Wasp spawn), most of the gameplay will happen on the lower level, as this is where the heavier weapons are located, with these being the Sniper Rifle (found in a compartment in the Purple Lift) and Typhon (found on the catwalk between Red and Blue base).
The Wasp serves a similar role to Ascension's Banshee, being a high-level threat in FFA, Team Slayer and Strongholds (does not spawn in CTF, Infection, or Ball modes (not supported yet) due to potential for abuse) that can dive below the main play space to recover shielding for a short amount of time(should this become problematic this will be revised). The map offers two major counters: the Plasma Pistol and Typhon.
The map is set in the same location as one of my other maps (Bathos Island), that being The Rift. The Rift is a pocket dimension that seems to contain a vast, endless ocean which is occasionally dotted with large rock formations and abandoned stone structures. This particular structure was one of the first to hold these buildings, whose purpose has since been lost to time.
