Terror Station -
Infection -*I haven't done an Infection map.
Because I've had time to binge on horror and sci-fi movies this summer, I started to think... What is the creepiest/scariest setting I can picture to escape from zombie/infected? ..."Alien", "The Thing", etc. ...barely lit, dark corridors, with limited sight lines.
(depending on your monitor settings/location you might need to up the brightness??)
This map is built on Parallax with the Halo Ring skybox (enclosed so you can't really tell). I tried to keep it dark with chances for jump scares. Imagine that there is an outbreak in the cargo dock, you have a big empty space station, very few weapons, and just a couple options on where you might be able to holdout. Best bet is to keep moving with survivors and find more ammo.
The Main Cargo area, not safe to stay here... but might need to come back for bullets. The Halls... keep an eye on the next corner. Maybe the stairwell is safe? ...probably not for long.
You may want to adjust the standard 'Infection' round timer to 4 minutes? (3 is standard), this is a pretty big station. Because it seems to favor the humans (not too cluttered) I added quick-access for the infected. If you are a zombie, when respawning, you get 3 paths to different parts of the station. Path 2 - teleporter available at 1:00 in, Path 3 - Climb into vent, teleporter at 2:00 in. This gives you the chance to catch them off-guard as your infected numbers increase.
I would appreciate your comments and feedback on this map. It has no vehicles or race checkpoints! - So it's outside of my usual map efforts! Thanks for trying it out!
