SWORD EDGE

4v4 Slayer

Map Description

Welcome to my first forge map showcase! I will be showing off my forge maps that I created in Halo 5's new forge. This one is inspired by Sword Base, one of my favorite maps of all time. The focus was to create a similar gameplay experience, so Sword Edge plays very closely to the original Sword Base, but I also added special points throughout the map that use the new spartan abilities, such as slide or clamber. All of the weapons on the map are in the same spots as on the original (repeater replaced with storm rifle, needle rifle replaced by carbine, etc.). I added one power weapon, the SPNKr Rockets, which can be found in the atrium of the map. Here is how you can download the map:

From the Vid I'm liking the look of this so far. I recommend doing some serious object coloring to spruce it up. The other thing is, are you aware that we have fairly massive clear glass windowpanes. I would recommend switching a few of the standard windows to get that classic look. They are improperly listed in Accents under their own title.

Yea I noticed those after I created the map. I might go back in and touch up on stuff like that, and I going to optimize the object count as well to reduce the lightmap.

Actually I just made a post about some stuff i found out about the lightmap percentage and lighting glitches. The long and the short of it is to set "bake" to off, on any blocks wherever it doesn't screw up your shadows.
