    Hello, always nice to post some new maps.
    Actually, this should be the second one...
    So this time i tried to realize a some kind of dream i had.
    After the Monitor's Bounty and the Browser Game feature, i noticed all these cool maps like "Survive the City" or "Survive the Underground". And i was like: "I must do one too".
    At least, i had to try it...and play it with someone.

    So, as you may understand from the name and the premise above, this is an Infection Survive Run (whatever you want to call this) map.
    To be precise, it's a variant from my aesthetic map "The Courthouse", inspired by a game called Ace Attorney.

    Differently from the other maps, this map has a lot of buttons.
    The doors are basically the key of the game. I wanted to focus on a race/run moment like in Survive The City, but unfortunately it was bad, so at the end i focused on what i could do.

    This is, more or less, a generic idea of the map:

    Everything starts in Court, number 1.
    There is a door which can be unlock but requires some times (precisely 18 seconds) to open. So it's necessary to survive in the meanwhile.
    When you exit to the court, you will be able to see the door for the Elevator and the door for the Stairs.
    However, the door for the stairs is locked and it's necessary a some sort of key. To reach the key, you need to pass to the elevator, first.

    When you reach the elevator, number 2, you obviously need to change plan. As in Survive the Underground, the elevator will have a door which will close pressing the button.
    However, the infected will be able to force the door, open it and reach the passengers in elevator. So it's necessary to defend themself during this passage with the elevator.

    After around 25 seconds, you reach the Archieve, number 3.
    In this archieve you will find 2 weapons and the button which will open the door for stairs. So you need to return in elevator and go up. However, you will be immediately in trouble because of the elevator: In fact, during the passage, the elevator will stop moving.
    The only way to reach the stairs is to break the wall.

    Breaking the wall will bring you to the unused room, number 4.
    This "unused room" is actually a some kind of "parkour" room, where you need to climb and shoot some walls.
    If everything goes fine, you will be able to go outside this room and reach the door for the stairs, number 5.

    When you go in the room, you will immediately see the stairs actually don't exist anymore. Moreover, the point you have to reach is too far for your abilities.
    So, what now?
    Well, there is a way which i find is pretty "classic" for forgers and experts in scripting, i guess. In short, you will find a long flag which you can use it to climb up. You need to bring this flag in the right place to use it.

    If everything goes nice, you will be able to reach the exit from this room. The exit can be closed in way that you can take time and escape.

    If you reached this, then you are in the Lounge, number 6.
    You will find immediately the door exit, but you'll notice that will be impossible, because the door doesn't work, and instead, it makes a some kind of bomb.
    So you need to pass in another way. If you notice, the bomb destroyed part of the wall, so you can climb the wall and reach the emergency exit...which is blocked.
    The only way to go out is to climb in a step ladder and go in a tunnel. In this way, you will be able to reach the Parking, number 7.

    Unfortunately the parking is blocked and you can't actually escape from the court. But you can kill the infected. How? Well, there is a statue of Phoenix Wright, the famous Ace Attorney. All you need to do is to reach his badge and take it. In this way the turn ends for the survivors.


    I hope you enjoy the map: I used 3-4 days for making this.
    I know this might sound "not much", but i didn't see the sun and it's 7:00 AM as i'm writing just for fixing the map.
    Unfortunately, there are some problems which i cannot see in forge mode but i can see when i play with others and i still need a bit of time to fix.
    But the map is fully playable. It's just...you need to hope the elevator doesn't go crazy.
    If you want to play it, download the map "Survive The Court" and the Gametype "Survive the Court WIP". Also, you are free to use it for your games and you can improve it (call me if you do so, i would like to know how you make better my map).

    UPDATE TO 0.9
    Hello again, here's a new update for Survive The Court.
    Here's the new features:

    Changed elevator: The previous elevator had too many objects and it was too heavy to use in game. So i made a simpler one, with just 3 objects, instead of 24. Yes, it's uglier and it doesn't have music, but it's actually better, since i could remove more than 50 scripts. The infected can still break the elevator ceiling.

    New spawn for infected: The previous spawn was ok, but i noticed players didn't know where to go with all those doors.
    So the spawn will be automatic. If the survivors open a new door, they will spawn in that area (after a few seconds, of course).

    Objectives: Actually, i'm not that smart to use "those" objectives you can use in Race. So i made it in my own: You will see a red light beeping: that's the objective for the survivors.

    ● Aestethic.: I replaced and/or added some items in game. Some of them are aesthetic, in way to look like a courthouse (whatever).

    No Tartatus' Hammer: I did a mistake and i can explain:
    In "The Courthouse" map, the aesthetic one, the judge bench had Tartatus' Hammer, and i literally forgot about this. So i noticed someone found this item and used it during the game.
    Of course i can't let someone use it, it's overpowered.
    So i replaced with another shotgun.

    Archieve Room: Only 10 seconds: I must say sorry. I thought it was obvious that you have to return in elevator, instead the first reaction is to stay in this room. So i decided to make a time limit for how much you have to stay. Also, i removed all those req weapons for just a magnum with low ammo.

    UPDATE TO 0.9.1
    With this update i've fixed something.

    Objectives: Now objectives are real real, thanks to ryan LFC 92.
    You have no excuses now.

    Time Limit in Court: Players are now forced to move on from the Court, they have about 10 seconds to leave. Also, nor survivors or infected can come back from the court.
    Before to put the Time Limit in other zones, i would like to test this one.

    Saw in Archieve room: Why a Saw? The Elevator is probably one of the most difficult moments because you have to go down *and* up, and infected can break the ceiling. So one of the survivors can break the 4th wall using this Saw you can find in Archieve room.
    You can recharge only once with the Saw, so use these bullets wisely.

    Shield in elevator: I decided to give to survivors a bit of breath when they are in elevator. A shield will appears when the infected force the elevator door. This shield will reappear after 10 seconds.
    It's highly possible that i will decrease the time to 5, but i'll see in the future.

    And of course, if necessary, i can always change and fix the map.

    seems interesting. Im working on a new map with some people that has a cool key method too. I will try to play this and let you know what i think.

    Thanks. I'm currently working to fix the map at the moment.
    I'm adding the spawn method used from others Survive maps.
    If i have time, i would like to remake the elevator, because it's too messy when you play with others.
    I will update this site with the link. The name should be "Survive The Court 0.9".

    Thank you for all the players who is helping me to give me feedback (indirectly playing). I noticed they had fun and i'm glad of this.
    But, but...

    Now as now i've found some bugs:
    - Some objects spawn only for the first turn. What about the other 7?
    - These objects are fundamental, for example, the time limit in Archieve room, and the wall that covers the unused room. I tried many, many times to fix this, but it doesn't work.
    - Objectives are ok...But not too much. The players was able to find *only* 2/4 of the rooms, and this isn't much.
    - I noticed sometimes the elevator goes too down, and the doors doesn't close ok.

    Of course, i'm going to fix this with 0.9.1.
    I have to decide what to do with the wall for the unused room.
    My idea is to make this wall...a door. No joke.
    The wall is scripted in way that, if they shoot in this wall, then it disappears (to not say pretending to explode). But if this doesn't work, then i can use a regular door.
    I think it could work.

    In short, what i have to fix is:
    - The wall in unused room: Change it with a door. This door will open after pressing the button in archieve room (which means this button will open the door for the stairs AND the door for the unused room. In any cases, the survivors cannot go to the stairs if they don't pass to the unused room first.
    So this can be ok at least.

    - Fix this damn time limit and the death area in archieve room.

    - Possibly find another way to send objectives in map. I want to check Survive The City in way to know how to do this (but i heard it's hard...)

    - Change the two doors of the elevator with just one door.

    objective markers are really simple. theyre called nav markers. Example here, add a script to an object you want a nav marker on. now your going to need a trigger, such as when message recieved, when boundary check, etc. (Ive had trouble with the When round start trigger so id avoid that one).

    Ok So when message recieved, use nav marker change in your action script. Now the important part. click on the PLAYERS menu, you want to change it from "this" to "players (add)" so that all players will see the nav marker. you dont need to change TARGETS. The target is THIS object you are scripting on. Now all you have to do is choose the word you want. and remember to remove the nav marker in a separate script on the same object after it is no longer needed.

    Why not, are there limits?
    I'm still updating, everyday, until it's fully playable.
    (Also my time is pretty strict because i've suspended my main project at the moment so i need to act fast.)

    eh, just seems unfair to new maps, constantly forcing them down the page. Why not wait till the map is 100 before uploading. That way it prevents spam and you don't have to upload a broken map. :)

    It's fine man, just make them really important ones or you're gonna give off the wrong impression which I know isn't your intention. :)
