Sprint I - Darkest Dawn (Obstacle Course)

Map Description

Let me give fair warning before anybody starts this, it is incredibly difficult, and long. Back in the day I made some obstacle course maps in Halo Reach I called Sprint. Sprint I-IV were increasingly difficult and elaborate. Maybe a dozen or so people beat Sprint I. 3 of us beat Sprint II. I beat Sprint III. And even to this day, not even I have beaten Sprint IV, though I did reach the end.

I've had every Halo since Reach, but haven't felt the urge to Forge as hard as when the mini-game options seemed endless back when the Custom Games were far more Custom. Finally, this one I decided to pick it up again, and Sprint has been reborn.

In every Sprint prior, there were no checkpoints, only your life and one chance to make it through the whole course.

This time, the very idea of not having checkpoints is ludicrous. The map would simply never be beaten, and so the checkpoints exist, but don't be fooled. This map is several hours of gameplay from being finished, if it ever is

However... If you're willing to take the challenge, you'll go down in Sprint history as a Halo Obstacle Course Champion.

    Rules
    -
Use the Gametype - H5G Sprint
Use the Map - Sprint I - Darkest Dawn

This gametype takes off several mobility options on the Spartan leaving just your Sprint & Boost, both of which are perfectly legal to use.

Teamwork - There are probably a few spots on the map in which you can skip sections by using multiple Spartans, this obviously is not valid for completing the map. However, please note that you can group together to complete the map. If you all choose Team Red, or Blue, or Yellow, or Green, you can use the same checkpoint as your teammates of the same color. Only 3 people on any one team preferably.

Checkpoints - The checkpoints are all basically the same, just platforms with each team's color switch on the wall. You can only press your own switch and it will remove a block corresponding to your color from the platform. You will then spawn there from that point on.

Here are my personal times into the map, which I will update as I attempt to complete it. These times are how much time in game I've spent attempting to complete each particular section, separated by checkpoints.

    Checkpoint I - 30 Minutes (Completed) *
Checkpoint II - 4 Hours, 40 Minutes (Competed)
Checkpoint III - 40 Minutes (Not Completed)
    Checkpoint IV - (Not Reached)
    Checkpoint V - (Not Reached)
    Checkpoint VI - (Not Reached)
    Checkpoint VII - (Not Reached)
    Grand Finale - (Not Reached)

    Victors
    -
    None

*It should be noted that I practiced the first part a long time before the map was completed, so this is the official time it took but I had a lot of practice. In reality it took several hours to get to the first checkpoint as well.

**I am not liable for anyone breaking any of their stuff while playing this.
