Map Description

  1. ANEVILSPAR7AN
    ANEVILSPAR7AN here, with Wizard this time. To get the scale right, I used H2A's Warmage a a base, since the run time from wall to wall is about the same, and instead of grav-lifts, I made ladders that work by using grav volumes. Top mid becomes like Warlock when playing CTF and Assault, and the weapon sets change depending on if you play Slayer, or not.

    EDIT: I have updated Sorcery to current Matchmaking standards, as well as created an alternate version called Wizard that plays as close to the CE original as possible. Ladders are now automatic, since few people seam to know to jump when you see the gravity volumes.

    Weapons: I use function over form for the weapon sets on Wizard, so I use the SMG and H:5 Rocket Launcher, as they are close approximates to the H:CE Assault Rifle and SPNKr Rocket Launcher respectively.

    Frag 8x 30sec set to Death/Deletion
    Plasma 8x 30sec set to Death/Deletion

    Minor fix needed, piece is missing. you already know :) otherwise I would remove one OS and one CAMO ea. As this would be a little much for h5 speed/mechanics. great job!

    If you're a fan of 1:1 remakes, this is definitely one to download! ANEVILSPAR7AN has done it again! Of all the Wizard remakes created thus far, this one is easily the closest to the original in terms of aesthetics, scale, and gameplay!

    Day 63. People are still making and posting remakes of old Halo maps. Running low on food, water, and originality. It's been a week since I sent the distress signal. Still no sign of rescue.

    Zandril, I find that comment very amusing, but you have used that line in a previous post so it loses it's humor being repeated...

    People will always make remakes. We all enjoy playing on the old maps, it's part of the nostalgia feeling. To be honest if you wanted to warm up on a map before matchmaking with a quick 1 vs 1 or 2 vs 2, would it be on some awkward forge created map the other people playing with you never saw before? I would choose an accurate Warlock, Lockout or Guardian map to warm up on any day over a unique creation. People over value Forge, all these maps we create, how often are the most of the maps anyone makes creates played on? Maybe they get into matchmaking, otherwise they are played 10, 20 or 100 times on the high end if you're lucky.

    I look at all forge creations as just a work of art. It's awesome to see people create unique themes and original map layouts, but there isn't enough support for customs even still (lack of a real fileshare or customs server hopper for m.m.). People spend countless hours of hard work making all types of maps, I'm not a fan of racing, but love seeing innovative race maps. Duplicating remakes forces people to think outside the box to recreate shapes or objects we don't have and that brings along new uses for pieces in unconventional way. It's a lot harder to make a near perfect remake than you give credit for.

    Who cares what I think right? I agree, opinions are like @$$holes on elbows and no one needs them, however it applies to yours also. Not trying to be rude, but bashing everyone else's maps that doesn't meet your idea of "creativity" isn't need on this site, keep that on Halo Waypoint and if you don't care for remakes - don't post on them, move along to the next map or even better post constructive criticism for the map maker and suggest an idea for them to try forging that might be unique.

    I ain't arguing with you bro because you're right and I know I'm being kind of an ass. But I make up for it by posting good, solid feedback for original maps (not sure if you see those around).

    You may say that's terrible reasoning and I would agree with you while posting the same comment above in the next remake post I see.

    I read practically every post on each map that's on here, but try not to post too often unless it's constructive (nothing better to do at my job answering phones all day sadly, but the pay is insanely good...) and I love seeing your maps as they are truly awesome and you do post good feedback, that's why I didn't want my post to be misconstrued as me being rude. I suck at coming up with ambition to complete my original maps and I didn't even post a finished thread for the Halo 3 Assembly remake, but if I do I look forward to your day count comment. (It really does make me laugh each time re-read it.)

    Hearing people call in to complain about their health care claim not being paid while yelling is no bueno. I say insanely good as great for our local area as no other company's here pay even a reasonable wage without you owing a college 80k for a degree. My job SUCKS to clear that up.... lol

    I will say Spartan's remakes are incredibly accurate and aesthetically pleasing to the eye with their simplicity. Internet speak can appear as douchey, so I wanted to make sure it wasn't meant in that regard. This really is a great community over most forums though, Zilvia.net (240sx stuff) and other sites I surf have a lot of trolling on them.

    I understand what you're saying dude, however, I'm kinda like Goat when I do originals, I can't stick to the idea because I either end up not liking where it's going, or I lose interest. I do CE remakes because I love Halo: CE, because I want to play on 1-1 near accurate maps that look like they have been ripped strait out of CE itself.
