Pardon my shitty post, it's been a while since I've done one
Snake Pit is a project that a few of you will recognize, since I have been floating it through a bunch of testing lobbies for the past couple months it seems. I've finally gotten to the point I am comfortable posting it up.
Honestly, when I started Snake Pit I didn't even think that I would finish it.
On Snake Pit, you will find yourself utilizing the full suite of new movement options available to you in Halo 5; some jumps require you to stabilize in mid air to reach across an atrium, while others are a simple clamber up.
The map revolves around a death pit in the bottom center of the shaft, with a sort of helix shape forming the rest of the map around it. Because of this shape, the map generally plays asymmetrically even though it is symmetrical (rotationally)
You will find two one way teleporters on the map, both of them lead a single level up- both of these teleporters are designated by the white doorways with a green arrow in front of them, but on Oddball and CTF they are closed off and unusable.
In the center of the map on top of a pipe, there is an Overshield that will not spawn in on Oddball or CTF, controlling this OS in slayer is crucial to success in battles, though it can be countered by the two Plasma Pistols on the map which are located in the back hallways with a 30% battery charge to allow ~ 2-3 charged shots each.
Down below the teleporters you will find a perch that houses the Sniper Rifle on both sides of the map, the Sniper spawns with 4 shots.
