Shallow 2.0 is done and ready to be played!
These are the following changes:
I deleted this area, as nobody went to that side besides going for the Fuel Rod Cannon, so it felt pretty deserted.
- Deleted the whole Fuel Rod area.
This is an interesting change. I want to see how people will fight for Beam Rifle on Mid so Teams have to work to fight for Outside control to be able to use Beam Rifle properly. Fuel Rod is on Nest as it is more of a explosive weapon and can be used to fight Beam Rifle user who wants to control Outside Nest. Bringing more map flow.
- Swapped Weapon Pads (Fuel Rod goes to Nest and Beam Rifle goes to Mid)
Recon DMR was not used at all in all playtests. I decided to remove it. The same with SMGs as they are to powerful Autos in close range. Spartans spawing with ARs is enough. Replacing Frags with SMGs is better as there were no Frags on the map.
- Removed Recon DMR and SMG, moved Suppresor to Inside Nest. Added Frags in each SMG spawn.
Having two bases connecting to Trench and Mid is a good addition, providing more map flow and more encounters. Each team will spawn looking at each other or watching Fuel Rod.
- Added two bases for Red and Blue Team.
- Added two BR's on each Trench pillar (Red and Blue Trench)
As fights were most occuring on Mid/Trench because Outside/Nest was too open. I decided to add more cover aesthetics to provide more action on the outside.
- Added more cover outside.
