Map Description

  1. Given To Fly
    I started this map on the first day forge released and has been a massive undertaking. It has gone through a ton of redesigning and testing. I am extremely proud of the visuals and gameplay. It would look even better if forge allowed us the capabilities. This map pushes the envelope on what forge is capable of.

    The weapon set is polished and balanced in an out-of-the-ordinary layout. Neutral Ghost, Fuel Rod, Gravity Hammer, Hydra, Needler, Sentinel Beam.

    Recommended players, 4-8​

    Throughout various tests and promises, Seclusion had been altered several times since its inception. Some changes I agreed with, and some I hadn't. Now I've finalized the map, and it will no longer be touched in Halo 5. Various improvements have been made across the board. Central tunnels now create more interesting engagements, provide cover, and safe spawns. An additional route behind the main hill now connects to the central tunnel, and houses a gravity hammer, to increase the player movement throughout the map in a true free-flowing design.

    The map has been outfitted with a custom game type created by MartianMallCop that essentially plays with one capturable territory that moves seamlessly throughout the level via scripting. It is one of the best game modes I have had the pleasure of playing in Halo 5, and look forward to seeing more maps support it.

    Seclusion.... What is there that I could say about this map? That it's gorgeous? That the landscaping is meticulously well crafted? That a Ghost in a 4v4 is ****ing awesome? That the map plays a unique style not seen in the forge community? That it's an all around generally good experience?

    Nah, **** that. Suck it Given. :P

















    But yeah, the map is in fact DOPE.

    With each dynamic fight and Lines of sight possible, this has easily taken the spot of being one of my favorite 4v4 maps to date. Within my lobby I hardly ever felt like fights were unfair or out of place. Each play-space felt breathable and entertaining for the next path to the last.

    I think this map takes leaps and bounds over its older brother, undeniably great job with this given. Props to you!

    Wow Given. I looked at this in Forge and damn is it beautiful. That layout looks really great. I really want to play this.

    Unlike Isolation, I never want to play that.

    It's nice to see someone as meticulous about their terrain as myself. I can't speak to how it plays, but you definitely created a great aesthetic. I reserve judgement for review until I've played it. Good **** dude.

    Hey man, sweet map! Looks hella good bro. What you could do though is change the matte setting of the outside walls to 10, making them very reflective. They'd look more metal that way. Other than that, great freaking job dudebro!

    This is probably the best forge map to come out of halo 5s forge currently. Please if Wall texturing becomes a thing in this next update could you go back to this map and give everything textures! it would look so amazing.

    I would absolutely love to make this map even better if possible!
    I'm so glad you like it! I think this map is very flexible and is one of my best maps to date. I'm extremely happy with where it ended up and hope it can wiggle it's way into matchmaking in the future.

    I never wanted to play Isolation but I always seemed to have a lot of fun once I was on it. This looks like it may take what I liked and expanded on it. Hopefully I'll finally get a chance to play it in the next few weeks.

    I was the same way, I would usually veto it, but when I did get it I found it very enjoyable. (When I wasn't getting locked down) haha

    I really enjoy how the map plays. Almost all of the encounters are on inclines, and it is just a refreshing style of play compared to current H5 maps.

    I considered adding textures to the map but I'm not sure it would improve it... I find the actual forerunner texture disgusting. I considered making the map green again and turning the metal all rusty brown like isolation, but I'm not sure that is what I want for it.
