I love remakes. Not a real fan of 1:1 remakes, so i decided to rebuild Sanctuary a bit different.
My first attempt to Sanctuary was made on the lake of Alpine, but a very annoying bug that let you hear water noises and footsteps like you are in water even when you walk on a block several feet up the water forced me to move the entire map in a more appropriate spot (my english is really basic, so sorry if i'm not very clear).
The big changes are in the central structure, now much less circular and more large than the original. I also added a couple of jumps doable thanks to the spartan abilities. The real challenge here was the aesthetics. I used lots of expensive blocks, and now my light budget is at 116% at best, so i'm a little reluctanct of adding more decorations, but i will certainly try and see how far i can stress the lighting system.
For the weapons i mantained the Energy Sword of Halo 2 and the Sniper Rifles, i got rid of the Shotguns for two SMGs and i also removed the Needlers for two Boltshot.
For now, the map is ready to play in a 4v4 Slayer or in a FFA. CTF will be playable in the next version.
For the records, this map was forged in almost a day, counting two hours that i spent moving the entire thing from the water to the waterfall. Forging in Halo 5 sure is faster.
