Map Description

    I love remakes. Not a real fan of 1:1 remakes, so i decided to rebuild Sanctuary a bit different.

    My first attempt to Sanctuary was made on the lake of Alpine, but a very annoying bug that let you hear water noises and footsteps like you are in water even when you walk on a block several feet up the water forced me to move the entire map in a more appropriate spot (my english is really basic, so sorry if i'm not very clear).

    The big changes are in the central structure, now much less circular and more large than the original. I also added a couple of jumps doable thanks to the spartan abilities. The real challenge here was the aesthetics. I used lots of expensive blocks, and now my light budget is at 116% at best, so i'm a little reluctanct of adding more decorations, but i will certainly try and see how far i can stress the lighting system.

    For the weapons i mantained the Energy Sword of Halo 2 and the Sniper Rifles, i got rid of the Shotguns for two SMGs and i also removed the Needlers for two Boltshot.

    For now, the map is ready to play in a 4v4 Slayer or in a FFA. CTF will be playable in the next version.

    For the records, this map was forged in almost a day, counting two hours that i spent moving the entire thing from the water to the waterfall. Forging in Halo 5 sure is faster.

    I played on this map awhile back with some friends, I guess I know it is a remix, but it was so easy to see where anyone is because the map is entirely one color. Aesthetically, the map is very bland and could use a lot of touching up to bring out some colors. Also, for a remix, you could of... remixed it more. Played fine, but there is no blend, I kind of felt like I was running around in a big cookie.

    Pretty good remake, i didn't like the longer top mid, because H5 plays slower than H4, because of sprint penality... i liked the map placement, nice waterfall behind, and the colour pallet in general is pretty good, you could make more decorations... and even if you colored the pieces to bown/beige they seems too much metallic pieces...
  3. Excellent job with the environment and scale. Fluid gameplay, but tends to slow when battling at elbows and midmap because of the high ramps. Very good.

    A very nice vision of a "Halo 5" remix. Easily a map to be welcomed to a matchmaking playlist. Fans of MLG Sanc must take note that this is actually an Asylum remix , meaning sword in center and not being to snipe strait down to the opposite sniper spawn. A must have map to any Halo vet!

    I was waiting to see who would make a really good remix of Sanctuary, or Asylum in this case. Plays very well. My friends and I love it. Hopefully this gets put in matchmaking cause Halo 5 maps are poo.
