Map Description

  1. Psinobious
    Band together and stand your ground against the overwhelming horde as it pushes you back further and further into the bunker. The horde shows no mercy to those it feast upon so surrender is not an option. Only a few defenders will be strong enough to make it through to the next day.

    The defenders strategy:
    As defenders of the sanctuary, you face an enemy whose numbers are uncountable. Your only hope to make it through to the next day is to ban together through combined arms and hose the enemy down with hot lead. Lone wolves who provide nothing to the team fight WILL.......die alone.

    Room 1: The Gate
    At the start of the match the horde will be almost upon you, your best bet is to make sure everyone around you is able to team shot the infected. Camping by the two doors will ultimately remove you from the fight and any advantage you had. Depending on the skill of the horde camping by the two doors will likely result in the total annihilation of the entire team. It is best to secure both of the doors if it is possible, because if the horde are able to get easy access to one of the doors when it opens it will cause trouble for you in the second room.

    Room 2: The Gauntlet
    Once the doors open it is best to back up while shooting, rather than just turning around and running. Hits to the back from horde members will result in immediate death. At this point you have entered the gauntlet and you must lock down two separate hallways. You must divide your forces up accordingly to defend both entrance.

    Room 3: Judgement
    This room either makes it or breaks it for the defenders. In order to stave off the horde it is necessary to hold the upper level of the room, since you only have to watch one main entrance. However holding it will become increasingly difficult since the horde will have a teleporter that will allow them even more aggression than from the first room. If you cannot hold the upper level your defenses will shatter and you will be consumed. But, if the few defenders remaining are able to hold their ground long enough the final room will open.

    Room 4: Sanctuary
    This is the room where the last stand will be made briefly before the doors close and the round ends. If you get to this stage there will likely be only be 1 to 4 of you left and you live to fight the next day.

    The horde Strategy:
    As part of the horde its tactics includes clashes head first into the opposition with overwhelming numbers wearing them down with attrition.

    To make such a strategy work the infected re-spawn timer has been set to zero. Aggressive spawning has also been placed near the defenders sanctuary allowing you to charge in and be a constant presence in the match. Eventually a teleporter will appear at your spawn to take you deeper into the base so you can have the same effective spawning like in the beginning. Alpha infected start out with no sprint but have higher movement speed, stronger shields and two thruster pack boost. While those who have fallen to the horde will be given weaker shields, but can regenerate more frequently than the alphas. Most importantly regular horde members have sprint allowing them to close the distance faster. Through attrition the enemy becomes weak, through weakness their flesh becomes tender and will make excellent meals for the horde.

    Feel free to reply with reviews and criticism about how you feel about the map, and game mode. Be sure to give out details of what happened in each game and not vague statements like, "Humans are to strong", "Survivors are to weeks", "343 servers are horrible". I need to know what is wrong so I can address the problem accordingly.

    O and one request, if the gametype starts you out with shotguns and a assualt rifle be sure to message me, because at that point the file got corrupted.

    update 1.05
    -After reviewing game play footage, I have decided to shift some crates and cover around in the first area to make it harder for defenders to set up shop in the by the two gates.
    -In the second area the zombies will now drop from the ceiling instead of coming through two holes in the wall; allowing for more immersion into the map and giving the infected more options on how to feast upon the defenders.

    update 1.1
    -After reviewing new game play footage I have decided to open up the back area up by a little bit in the first room. Now the defenders should have an easier time trying to survive the first room and making it to the next room.
    -I have also added ramps the horde can use to traverse the barricades in the first room so they will not have to jump over them leaving them vulnerable in the air.
    -For the defenders, jump height has been reduced to 70%, while gravity was reduced to 100% rather than 110%. Clamber for the defenders was also removed. This is to keep the survivors from climbing on top of barricades and crates that would give the defenders an unfair advantage
    -Due to the defenders being to weak to fight after being mauled in the previous room shield recharge wait time for the humans has been reduced from 500% to 300%

    This map was good fun and well designed. Now the layout is solid I'd consider working on the aesthetics. Possibly some sort of sanctuary with whale statues just to fit the title.

    Thanks for the feedback, I am considering using timmy the whale as a round end feature if FatAussie can find a way to make it work with all the glitches that are running amuck.

    Ok I see, search visiblity for map was automatically turned on when I worked on it and forgot to turn it back on. Its on now so it should work
