LARGE UPDATE! Here's the full list of changes:
- Removed the Covenant ship from the Skybox. It was cool, but strained the map engine too much and caused lighting issues
- Underpass completely revamped to make it both more aesthetically pleasing and also more fitting for the map's lore theme. Warthog vehicle path still exists and is easy to navigate, and more foliage was added to break sightlines between the middle canyon's ends more effectively
- Blissful Slumbers moved behind each of the Sangheili sculpture pieces in the Underpass, instead of leaning against the bridge support pillars
- Removed curved terrain pieces in Underpass and replaced them with flat cylindrical structures; this made it easier for players to move forward and contest the Underpass after taking their bases one-way teleporters
- Added destructible floor accents to the tunnels that lead to the Halo 2 Beam Rifles. I thought this added a minor, but cool interaction with the map's terrain
- Split the "Bridge" named location that previously encased Underpass and Bridge into two; Bridge and Underpass now have two separate named locations
- Map is now compatible with Big Team Slayer and Big Team Strongholds
- Stronghold Terminals added to Blue Ramp, Red Ramp, and Underpass
- Added cinematics for Strongholds, and added a Static Camera
- Added dynamic Neutral Spawns in the relative same areas that already existed prior to this update; these dynamic spawns are present only during Slayer and Strongholds, while the old static Team spawns are present only during CTF
- Plasma Caster removed during Strongholds as I feel that it would be an overpowered weapon for the cover-heavy Underpass which the Caster counters; this area will be significantly more contested during Strongholds and as such the Caster to me would feel too powerful and allow teams to easily hold Underpass for extended periods
Keep in mind that this map is STILL BEST SUITED TO BIG TEAM CTF, despite the fact it can play with Slayer and Strongholds now. Ice Fields was first and foremost a CTF map and I still want this re-imagination to capture that effect.
