Textures Updated!
The 3rd map from my Gears of War Breakout series. This was a really fun map to make, because River is my favorite Gears of War 2 map. It isn't an exact remake, but it's pretty close.
I tried using natural light sources to light the insides of all the buildings. I don't really know how I feel about them. Also Don't know how I feel about the street lights, so some feedback would be great! Edit: lowered streetlight brightness.
The weapon spawns are similar to Gears. Instead of a mortar, there is a 50% energy incineration cannon. Instead of a Boomshot, there is a Railgun with 2 shots. There are 2 snipers in the two story buildings. There are 2 Halo 1 magnums and there are 2 splinter grenades.
This map only supports Breakout game variants. You can run slayer on it, but the spawns are terrible. I also tweaked the Execution gametype to fit Gears a little more. Won't really go into detail but I tweaked the spartan dash, jump height, and some other things. May still need tweaking. If anyone is willing to help test with me, add me!
