Map Description

Thank Mynx for the assistance with the center structure. I had reached out to them and got approval to use it. Big thanks!

This is the Extermination variant of my Refuge map.

You can find the original version of the map here.

At spawn is a Plasma Rifle and two M9 grenades.
The new section of the maps include over 5 new jump-ups from each side of the map, including multiple pro jumps and sneakies. Each side of the map also includes a new ramp and structure that connects the old colored Carbine locations of the map with Spawn. This gives for some extra cover and objective placement.

On this new structure, there is the Morph Sight Battle Rifle, which leads to the Carbine locations, now named Elbow. On these elbows are two M9 grenades.

At each jump-up window on the center structure holds a Lightrifle, which leads into the center structure. In non-stronghold game modes, the center structure holds the Grenade Launcher as a power weapon. On all game modes, there are two plasma grenades, one for each side.

On the bridges for each side of the map holds a Boltshot and another set of two grenades to assault the center structure.

Each Nest, or originally named Sniper Huts, holds a 75% powered Beam Rifle, while underneath in the tunnels have a Needler.

The connecting point between Nest and Spawn are a Plasma Pistol and a single Plasma Grenade.

Under each Elbow in the Door location of the map holds a Sentinel Beam. This leads to each Courtyard which holds a Splinter Grenade. Good for assaulting center or door.

Heading towards the center structure from Spawn are rocks which can be used to jump up to multiple locations. This includes a ledge of the center structure which holds a more secretive Laser Targeter SMG.

I built up fairly competitive spawning, which I want to really improve with the new scripting options, but that can come later.

The entire map holds a sort of tron-like lighting, where all the weapons chosen were used to fit that sort of visual style. Morph sights, laser weapons, bright colors, etc.

The weapon spawns were chosen to work with Halo 5. The main reason the weapons changed were because Halo 2 and 3 weapon spawns do not work with Halo 5 and really feed into snowballing gameplay, which is unwanted.

I hope you like it, you can find an Extermination variant, which I am uploading as soon as possible, in which I will update this to properly link to.

I didn't know this map was created for Extermination! I thought Refuge was just a standard 4v4 map. Played it the other night, thought the treatment to the rock garden area was interesting. I have to admit that it threw me off at first, I wasn't sure which one was the main ramp and got really confused.
