    "Cliffs, Climbs, and Crazy Combat"

Reaper's Hollow is a remake of the classic Halo PC "Death Island", one of my favorite maps in the Halo series, PC or otherwise. It's far from a one to one perfect copy, but I tried to stay faithful to the general design of the map, and I think I did well in that regard.

Two identical bases stand on opposite ends of the map, each with a Scorpion, two Ghosts, a Standard Warthog, and a Rocket Warthog in front, and a Shotgun and two teleporters inside. One teleporter takes players up to the roof of the base where a Sniper Rifle and two Banshees can be found, while the other takes them to their team's Rocket Turret outpost (in the original, this was a Shade Turret).

The roofs of the bases are connected by a stretch of raised land that forms a series of cliffs that divide the ground level into separate areas. This upper area is accessible only by the in-base teleporters or a path that's adjacent to the red team's base, and there is also a Fuel Rod Cannon and neutral Scorpion up there. The blue base's analog to the ramp is a cave that is next to the base that offers a direct path to the interior of the island.

The Silent Cartographer-style hatch from "Death Island" has been reworked as a crane and two silos, at the base of which lies a Gungoose and a Spartan Laser. On each of the outer pathways around the map are neutral spawns next to a Scorpion and a Warthog.

It's set up for Slayer, CTF, and Strongholds.

The sheer scale of the map unfortunately comes with the same caveat that Death Island did-- technically it's playable with 4 players, but to really enjoy it for what it is, it's best to have far more players than that, ideally 8 v 8. I wanted to bring back that sense of scale and verticality that Death Island had that made me love it so much. Some things are inherently different given Halo 5's gameplay evolutions-- namely that there's no fall damage, so enemies dropping down on you from far above is now a much more real threat than it ever was in CE. But all in all I think the style of map still works well in Halo 5. I've wanted to make a Death Island remake since Forge first rolled out in Halo 3, but until now there just really haven't been the resources to do it, so I figured this was my chance.

I hope you guys like it. I know it's far from perfect, so let me know if there are things that you guys think would improve it. Among other things, I'm having some weird lighting issues around Red Base, but it is what it is. I'm also maxed on Physics given all the huge rocks I used, so unfortunately that put some limitations on plans that I'd had to polish the map off. But I digress.

Dude this is exceptional for a remake!!!! I can see how hard it is to perfectly replicate a classic Halo map from all the way from the PC days to Halo 5!! God its hard. Death Island is one of my all time favorites as well as many other pc maps like Ice Fields and Infinity!!! Awesome map dude, Ill be sure to give it a bookmark
