"Succeed where all others have failed. Infiltrate the Dust Palace. Destroy its master."
The Dust Palace is a map and gametype combo aimed at recreating the Raid style play from games such as Destiny, Wow and ESO. Using Halo 5's Linear Infection style, players will traverse five phases of play as the Spartans attempt to infiltrate the home of a new formidable foe.
The Raid will be narrative driven and all aspects of lore as well as Raid Mechanics will be posted here too in further depth but this is the synopsis.
The Forerunner threat would prove to not be the galaxies greatest strife. Instead, the galaxy as a whole would be challenged by the emergence of The Null, a new breed of evil, beings that existed in a parallel dimension next to our own known as The Void. The Null appeared without warning, and soon after began consuming whatever stood in their path. These are beings of empty existence, as The Void is composed of next to nothing. The origins of The Null are shrouded in mystery, but one thing is for certain; they have a weak point. They are controlled by the three Dust Lords and if the three can be killed, The Null will be crippled. Legend tells of a place called The Dust Palace, the home of the Dust Lords.
Infiltrate this bastion that drifts between reality and the Void. Kill, its masters.

**As it stands now, the gametype is in BETA, as it needs actual testing to be molded and perfected. Shout out to the boys at Forged Friday for testing its first wet run.
I am currently looking for willing and able play testers, so if you're willing to experience a Raid within Halo 5 and be an integral part in the process feel free to message me on XBL or simply comment below!

How to Play (The Short Version):
The map requires 12 players for optimal play. The non-infected will attempt to clear all 5 phases of the map while the infected will of course attempt to stop them. If the Spartans are able to reach phase 5 and survive the round timer, they are the winners.
Some Background Information:
For those that know me and my other works, all my projects are narrative and lore driven. The Dust Palace is a concept I've tossed around in my head since Forges release for Halo 5 and it was something I wanted to properly execute. I suppose to answer some things ahead of time, no this is not meant to replicate or copy anything from Destiny; much of the similarities are coincidental. The Dust Palace was a title/location in my mind long before I knew of the strike in Destiny and the symbols found around the map are actually not copied. I created them myself to have narrative value, which will be explained further later on.
