"Another Vex themed map by Ascend Hyperion? What a shock".
Paradigm is a 1v1-2v2 core map inspired by the artistic style of the Vex from Destiny. It's actually a minor rework of the Phase 1 layout in my other map, Threshold.
Paradigm extenuates natural influences and geometry clashed with invasive, weathered Vex constructs.
The map was also a technical testing ground for me. On Paradigm I experimented with altering a canvases skybox beyond the point of recognition to hopefully create an environment that felt new. This process included pretty finite use of fog values, filters, sound spacing and even an artificial sun.
