"Oblivion is not just a map - it is a spectacular, immersive experience that engulfs the player in a hellish realm of jagged rocks, twisting paths and creepy chasms. Diverse combat engagements at varying elevations allow for the skillful employment of team doubles tactics, and no two games are identical. A carefully crafted backdrop reinforces the notion that this is, in fact, a 'hell' of a map, as the rock formations display a consistency that is both natural and thematic. Teleporters allow for some interesting tactical player choices, and there are rock ledges (overlooking lava, of course) that are sure to take this map 'over the edge' and into a molten hot gameplay experience that will melt your face off." -The Weeeeemann Review

Oblivion isn't just a great layout, nor is it just a scene from hell. Oblivion is an experience, and anyone who denies themselves at least a few games on this map is denying themselves a truly incredible and ****ing gorgeous experience at that.

One of the most beautiful maps in halo 5. Original aesthetics, best lighting I've seen yet. Gameplay refreshing/new and not for the faint of heart which is a luxury this game rarely has anymore.

Oblivion is a ground breaking map in its forging, its gameplay and its artistic direction. It dares to be different and reinvent the way Halo can be played, and it succeeds.

Games are frantic and encounters play out in interesting ways. The unique well teleporters cycle players around the map to create intense back and forth gameplay among its deceptively vertical playspace.

There are so many organic paths and sightlines that Multi has deliberately engineered onto the map, and all the while the map never skips a chance to ooze theme from the walls and immerse players in its hellish environment.

From the tastefully positioned lighting to the carefully tund sight lines, Oblivion is a labor of love and an inspiration to Forgers to break out of their boundaries and make something truly unique.
