BIG TEAM BATTLE
STRONGHOLDS - ASSAULT - SLAYER
-I wanted to make a totally organic map that looks like it's in the Halo universe. After thinking about doing that, I got busy working out the basic layout in the terrain. I used flat pieces in many connecting angles to make the ground seem natural.
-Once I laid down the ground work, I started driving around with a few vehicles to test out the pathways I made. I wasn't thrilled with the result, so I tried again. This time, thinking about each vehicle type and how they react to certain ground physics. It turned out much more fun after I made that decision.
-I was having a hard time keeping the lighting budget within the accepted amount, and it was getting close to making me feel like it was too difficult of a map to work on, but the new update brought a more powerful forge with it, and I was able to reset all the pieces with light bake toggled on. What a relief.
-So I went back to work on it and decided to make the best of what I could.
-There are parkour challenges in every room, and it is intended for players to explore to find new advantages.
