   MONTEGO PALACE
   
   An idyllic luxury resort in the tropics, overrun by the undead.
   
   
   
   DESCRIPTION:
   
   Welcome to Montego Palace! Montego Palace is my newest map, designed for default infection. The Palace is set in a beautiful tropical resort, long abandoned and swarmed by the walking dead.
   
   
   
   
   
   This map was started immediately after I got home from my family trip to Jamaica. I went to the Riu Palace in Montego Bay for a week with my mom, dad, girlfriend, sister and her boyfriend. It was amazing. Relaxing, exciting, drunk, high, the whole nine yards. The resort itself was beautiful. Heres a pic of the real inspiration:
   
   
   
   I think I made the map to relive the week a bit, to virtually put myself on the beach and get away from the coldness of Canada. The map isn't 100% accurate obviously, but I think I definitely got a lot of the main features/vibe down. I really tried to nail the modern, neon-filled aesthetic. As you can see, the resort is very flat, which was a problem gameplay wise. I introduced some subtle verticality throughout the map to make up for it.

   Humans spawn in Hotel. The Hotel contains winding hallways and lobby's. The Hotel and its accompanying space contains a Recon DMR and a SAW.
   
   The Beach Bar
   
   
   
   
   
   Soaked in booze and neon lights, the Beach Bar is the main bar at Montego Palace. At the bar you can find a Halo Reach Grenade Launcher.
   
   The Pools
   
   
   
   
   There are two beautiful (but empty) pools at Montego Palace. A Sniper Rifle can be found at the swim-up bar.
   
   The Restaurants
   
   
   
   
   
   There are two restaurants at Montego Palace, a buffet and a Japanese restaurant. The Japanese restaurant has a climbable waterfall with a secret.
   
   The Back Alley
   
   
   
   
   
   The Back Alley is usually off-limits to guests but, y'know...zombies. A laser-sighted SMG can be found here.

   CONCLUSION:
   
   This map is untested and unplayed. This isn't a final iteration. I'd love for some people to have some games on it and tell me what you think. I hope you all enjoy your time at the Montego Palace!
