Map Description

  1. SCALLY RAINBOW
    Large big team map
    Ctf , neautral flag , strongholds , assault. 4! levels to each base.each base has 3 weapon scatterd around it. The bases are almost made off glass so there not much hiding you can do.but not to worry as there is several exits . This map is very open so watch your back.
    Plenty off snipe areas. A few cheaky weapons hidden around the map.very evenly set up for both teams.a central base which is more like a death zone.stay to your own side when climbing up!
    This base is use for neutral flag and strong holds & will be a challenge.if you notice any issues please msg me.injoy& feed back please as it helps.this map has been played 8v8 & in constant testing due to few brill guys.i will make vechical changes every so often like 343 to keep it a little fresh.add me if online to play if on.look at other maps plz.is set up with teams 1-8 if u want to do teams off 2 or 4 & all that lol.but only slayer.images to be updated.

    The maps comming along since the first time i saw it back on iParanormals stream. Ill hold off on reviewing it for a bit till i can see some of the changes youve made recently. here are some thoughts i had:
    • Spawning has been needing some work. but youve said you taken a peek at it
    • Bases needed a bit of a redesign to remove some of the dead ends and to allow for better navigation.
    • I see you changed the purple lift to rockets and thats good, it needed a bit of work
    • Also i would probably reconsider have the OS right next to the sniper on the tower like that.
    Beyond that i think the map is moving in the right direction. I like that you want to keep working on the map and make it better so im more than willing to help you out. post it to forged friday again and we can test it .

    Now that I think you've gotten in to a point where you like the map or at least where the map feels to play the best yet, i would recommend seeing what you can do to clean up the terrain and the bases, some parts of the map feel a bit jagged and rough as well as the bases still having a bit of issue with sharp turns and no railing in certain areas. Id almost recommend lowering the bases a bit, and I would look in to may be pushing the bases back a tad or bringing the back wall in some. I think the basics of the map are there and if your serious about the map continuing i think its time to start really look in to changing or cleaning up the map as well as adjusting sight lines. if youd like to test this more feel free to keep posting id like to see this map improve even more than it already has. keep up the good work and the attitude to work and care for your maps

    Thanks max for all that.i given up a little this week.i did change to spawn volumes to completely even over the map & also deleted the grunts as a few people had anoying other goal last week lol.i will clean up this map alot more today& lower nest to match central base.i am going to do all u suggest & there one section in the base below the top im going to remove.its not used.i have tryed to make the map as symetrical now as possible.which is causing an issue with some people.but not all maps are!!! So i have tryed to ballance out the map In fare as possible for both teams.i measured the map with basin and it the same size long and wide using the biggest floors to measure.i will fix this map untill i get it 99% playable.

    i have kept the malice map u have last played on.and then i made a new ground with same bases and central base to try & make this map 100% symetrical but it just turning into a completely different map..
    I going to concentrate on malice it self and see what can be salvaged & hopefully have ready for tonight.thx for all your help& to others for testing.i have learnt so much.

    The most important thing to remember is at the end of the day its your map. and what you say goes. My approach over the last 15 maps I've made is that after i got to a point where people played on it and gave feed back id change up some stuff to see how that suites everyone while still trying to keep with my original theme. If you find a point where you have to leave your original theme or idea for the map i suggest moving on and creating a new map using everything you have learned from the last map you made. this way you can always be happy with the creation, once you start to change your vision you begin to lose interest in the map and the work become sub par the map isnt likely to get completed.

    So work this map till the feed back begins to stray from your original theme, ask them what you can do to keep the theme or direction you had in mind and still make it work. if this cant be done you do not need to change your map from them. Accept that this concept has run its course learn as much from it as you can and implement everything you have learned in to the next new and original map from you. Be happy forging dont stray away in to something your not happy with the satisfy other people. this is probably the most important thing as a forger, at least it is for me. Im always up for people having fun playing on my maps, but just that my maps. If I change my original design so much based on feed back that it ceases to be the maps original destination I dont really have fun working on the map any more and move on with everything learned.

    Just some thoughts. I have to keep in mind alot that not everymap is a winner, but you can learn something from everymap you make. So like ive said before keep moving with this map and ill help you achieve your goal, but dont let me or anyone else change that goal unless you want it, and then make sure your happy with the direction.

    Thanks your advice could not have came at a better time.because its my map i injoy playing on it or watching others.same goes for every one who owns a map.being my first ever map & learnt alot.i think a few more changes are needed to make it more even.i have been so happy the way this map has changed and improved so much.original theme is what i dont want to move away from.but im always happy to make tiny or big changes.if improves the FLOW off the map & to make it more competative.
    I will move on to my next map when finished with malice.ill not give up just yet.guess i try to make everyone happy.but u know i never will.i have tryed to think different as everyone does.central base is a death zone.i cant stress this enough for people but that why i make it a stronghold and a place to get neatral flag & one assault ball.i like to ensure possible death.im gona do some editing and hopefully have a better outcome
