Majestic Route is a hot pursuit map based vaguely off of the Halo 4 map, scenic route. Hot pursuit is an infection based mini game where one infected uses a warthog to try and knock off the survivors who have mongooses. The map is composed of platforms that the players navigate through like a normal race. There is a jump in front of the survivor spawn that you should always survive thanks to a barrier, however it can be tricky to pull off when being chased. As part of the design we also added a timed kill barrier so you can’t camp at the top. This same rule applies to a smoke filled tunnel that is dangerous for both survivors and infected because you can’t see the other side. The survivors spawn with 3 rounds of shotgun ammo that can be used to slow infected if you’re on the back of a mongoose. There are 8 five minute rounds and you gain points by surviving, and winning as a survivor. Like regular hot pursuit the only way you can die is by being forced off the edge into the abyss.
