Map Description

  1. AoMUnknownV2
    Lockout Classic

    The map is finally completed and ready to play. I wasn't sure how many people would play on this map, so i maxed out the player count. If you want to make different versions of this map or want to make changes, you have my permission. I hope you guys will enjoy playing this map.

    - Added more snow that was missing on top mid, elbow, and br3
    - Added missing railings on sniper spawn and top lift both sides
    - Tweaked bottom mid incline
    - Increased height on sniper tower
    - Tweaked elbow jump and the door
    - Increased width on elbow bridge
    - Extended elbow platform
    - Fixed bulge in br2
    - Added antenna on sniper tower
    - Fixed the walls on sword spawn

    This looks incredible from the screenshots! I can't wait to check it out. On a side note, please include your gamertag in the description area - even if it's the same as your username for people to find you easier. I would love to play test this with you and a group. (my gamertag is fame28)

    Just checked this map out and Iv'e got to say, it's exact. Literally no flaws accept the two street lights in the corner bridges behind BR tower need to be re-positioned as their bases stick out a little. Also, will CTF be available soon? I noticed there were no flag stands available... Anyway, this map is defiantly worth the download to any people looking for a clean, exact Lockout remake!

    New glitch found: If you clamber on the streetlight at the left corner bridge next to BR tower, you can thrust and ground-pound onto the cave side going towards the open and get outside the map.

    One last inconsistency I found while walking around: If you're looking from shotty to the first ramp by the green windows, the block on the right side is sticking out more than the left.

    Also, both blocks silver color scheme dosent blend well with the floor and ramp, you may want to make them the same color.

    We played this map a bunch tonight and it is quite fun with old school halo 2 classic Spartan ability. Also if I may recommend changing it from silver to the periwinkle blue color. It looks almost like the original that way.

    On the platform where the sniper lies, the two columns that cut off at the end stick out more than the platform (I don't know if this is possible, but if you could somehow cover the complex texture at the end of the 3 cutt-off pieces with 3 smooth pieces it would look better), also they need to be pushed in a tiny bit as they are uneven on the sides too.

    Secondly, the intial loadout camera needs to be pushed down a little bit. Alright I think that's all I could nitpick, lol. :p

    Oh I forgot to say, if you are looking from sniper the stick-out column on the right should be flipped as the edgy corner is connecting to the floors round corner rather than its round corner (pretty much just mirror the left stick-out column when adjusting.).

    Right, so my friend found some things that need fixing but he's too lazy to make a ForgeHub account so I will just report them here...

    - The left bridge incline right before Top BR's platform's railing (closest to BR Tower) has a hole showing in its connection downwards right before the corner platform

    - If you look up while on the bridge connecting Sword and Bottom BR the right bulge of the tower has some breakout grid showing and an exposed slit that needs covering

    Update: He just messaged me saying an incline in bottom-mid needs to be pushed in a tiny bit. Pretty sure hes talking about the ramp to the right of the Sniper Tower entrance in bottom-mid

    Now that all the holes are patched and polished I think this map has a strong chance of making an apperance in matchmaking!

    Well if that's the case I will gladly do another run through...

    Update:

    * = New
    ** = Revised

    - The two front inclines next to the entrance of Lift need to be pushed down a little*

    - When looking from Top-Mid, the angled part of the post on BR Tower's antenna needs to be pushed back a tiny bit**

    - The two platforms where the magnums are placed on top of in Blue Room stick out a little too much forwards*

    - The two bridges crossing to Library and BR Tower as well as their side of Top-Mid aren't completely filled under with black platforming like the opposite side. Pretty much the railings of both the bridges and that side of Top-Mid stick out with no black platforming beneath them*

    - You may want to replace the block you used to cover the hole in the sniper jump with a blanker piece as the decaled ends look funny on the front and back side (also it's a tiny bit uneven towards the back)*

    - Looking from sniper spawn, the railing going outwards to the left (with the incline) needs to be moved a tiny bit more to the right and pushed forward a little to even out with the platform the sniper lies on, this may involve moving a big chunk of the whole tower with it to even out with the back wall alignment near the fusion coils*

    - Some railing connection pieces glitch through indented parts of the corner columns (example: on both side corner platforms outside BR Tower, if you look at the corner connection closest to the BR Tower you will see what I mean). There are other corner column connections with this issue, I just forgot which ones

    - Looking from Lift, the right column on Top-Mid in front of the lift jump needs a tiny re-adjustment, you might want to replace the mid platform piece as a whole (to get rid of the round edge of the platform) as moving the column any further to the right would make it misaligned with Lift's front columns*

    - The same issue above occurs at the mid-to-sniper tower jump and the front gray platform leading to the middle window connected to the inclines in the Library jump down spot to sword with the round platform issue, also you may want to even out the two sets of columns on mid in the referenced areas as they need some forward and back adjusting when fusing with the railing on Top-Mid*

    - CTF and KOTH (when it's added) capabilities should be implemented

    - First glance of map and power weapon/team intro should be added

    - The two side inclines on each side are missing in Blue Room

    - Add two pillars on top of the two column that needed recoloring in Shotgun Hall (suggestion: change the color of the soon to be added pillars and the columns they are on from black to gray so they match the ramp and platform leading to Blue Room)

    - If you are looking at the upside-down incline that you added above the entrance towards Lift from Bottom-Mid, you should replicate it on all four sides of Bottom-Mid (without covering the entrances) and use pyramid pieces to cover up the empty outer-corners they would form to somewhat simulate the original geometry of Bottom-Mid

    Some things you might want to experiment with:

    - The inside lighting of Sword, BR Tower, Sniper Tower, Library, Top Lift and Bottom-Mid maybe could use some gold-ish tint (this may or may not flow well with the white pieces and white outer-lighting)

    - A tiny touch of snow might make it resemble the original more (this may or may not add to the atmosphere, also it might clip inside buildings and look bad)

    - Elbow platform is now extended

    - Elbow bridge is wider

    - Elbow shortcut and door tweaked

    - Sniper tower lifted up slightly

    - The incline on the side of sniper tower is added

    - The inclines on both sides of top lift is now added

    - missing snow in the corner of Top-Mid is now added

    - Missing snow on Top BR is now added

    - Missing snow on elbow is now added

    - Sniper is now angled

    - Smg is now angled

    - AR is now angled

    - bulge in BR 2 sticking out is fixed

    - Bottom mid incline tweaked

    - Antenna on Sniper tower added



    * Color of the blocks may change (still thinking about it)

    * Storm rifles will not be added, weapon is too strong

    * Plasma pistol will not be added, too overpowered with BR

    One last thing I forgot to mention... In the Library where you drop down to sword the two gray side walls making the passageway need to be pushed back left and right a tiny bit as they stick out a little more than the two black inclines leading down to them.
