Getting Ready for MatchMaking! Part 2
Hey everyone! I'm back with another list of updates made to Turbine to help it's changes of hopefully getting into the H3 playlist. Let's take a look at the changes:
- Weapon pads gone- All weapon pad locations have been replaced with static weapons. So now both Snipers and the Spartan Laser are off pads with 120 second respawn times.
- Replaced rocks- Rocks have been replaced with Barren pieces to look closer to the original.
- Recolored seawall- Recolored the wall to look closer to the original. Also raised the window height to match closer to the original.
- Map Lighting- Objects have been modified to make the map lighting a lot better. Thanks @D4rkDeath!
- Framerate fixing up- Framerate continues to be an issue, but it also gets better each day I work on it. You still notice it when looking from the back catwalk to the wheel and on top of the sea wall looking at the wheel, but again, it's a lot better than how it started and you can notice improvements from last update. Thanks @D4rkDeath again!
- Stairs are now smooth with projectiles-Default stair pieces have lips on each step so if something like a grenade hits it then it could bounce back at you. Projectile blockers have been added to every stair piece, making them smooth like ramps.
- Fixed Drop bridge fall location- Some players left me feedback saying the bridge would sometimes hit the wheel when it fell, causing it to constantly jitter. This is now fixed.
- Fixed minor object placement- Basically just fixed some object to line up better with others, making the map smoother and look better. Also added a few objects here and there that were not present before (like Froman columns).
That's it this update. I am constantly continuing to work with other forgers to make this map the best it can be! When I have another list of items fixed/changed I'll post another update
- Recolored wheel- Simple change, went back from brown to dark gray. I feel it looks better and is closer to the original.
