Hello all! I am happy to announce that V1.1 is now live! I apologies for the amount of time it has taken me to upload this update, as I had already done it a few days ago, however I was busy setting up my new computer! But without further a do, here is the update!
Will you survive or will you become another corpse? Either way, your quest to escape is only going to get harder now, so prepare yourself! Deep within this Labyrinth lie the old victims of the maze, who each carry the key to your survival; in order to open the door and get closer to your freedom, you must find the 3 skulls they posses. But it wont be easy with the monster lurking in the shadows and blocking your path. If you find these 3 skulls, the door to the Ice Labyrinth will open, and you will be one step closer to living!
As with every new update, new bugs become present, it's a known way of a forger to let the public know of these evil mishaps! Below are some new bugs that have become present in forge and the game itself:
> The blue skull does not send a message to door, making it raise higher, unlike the red and green skull. All these skulls have the same logic, but only 1 doesn't work. This means that sometimes you can get under the door and sometimes you cannot. I will be looking into detail as wh this is happening, but in the man time I have no fix.
> Forge Bug: Okay, so another reason this update has taken so long is because forge seems to be playing up, again -.- For example, some blocks became transparent and passable, and would fade in and out. This was fixed by deleting the block and copying it and placing it again. Another bug was that my map would start randomly deleting blocks and objects, and making invisible blocks on my map?!?!?! After replacing the objects, the deleting objects glitch hasn't happened again, and as for the invisible blocks glitch I have no idea what happened, I was just running around and noticed there was an invisible wall with a script line, and was labeled as an object it was not. This object didn't even show in forge. So I clicked randomly and ta dare! A random wall appeared out of nowhere, the script line vanished and the correct label showed! Once deleted I had no problems, but I still have no idea what's going on.
So as with my other maps, and anyone's map in general, there is a limit to what we can do with the budget we have. Right now, my object count has just hit the yellow, so I am safe to maybe make the last stage of the Labyrinth. My light map however has hit red, so this may mean going round and turning of all the light bakes on the candles or the map could suffer FR drops. In terms of FX and scripts I am still in the green so I am good to go there. My main concern right now is actually my object count, as I still have to lot to involve, such as decoration, new objects and quest objects, as well as a whole new Labyrinth.
So, depending on how the future of the map goes I may have to cut back on the amount of decorations or traps in the map. If things get really bad, I may have to scrap the idea of a 3rd maze, but I'm hoping it doesn't come to that.
As the Ice Labyrinth map has just been revealed there isn;t any decor to show, but here are some quick shots of the door and the corridor
