PLATFORM: Xbox 360
GAME: HALO 4
Paying tribute to Halo 2 classics, Lockout and Ivory Tower, this map attempts to blend the speed and pacing of combat encountered when playing on Lockout with the structural design of Ivory Tower, which had a dominating tower positioned at the third level of the map with long sights.
In regards to speed and pacing of combat, this map affords options to players looking to make a surprise attack by landing tricky jumps. There are several short cuts throughout the map that reward the players for risky moves if successful. Despite the framework for intricate movement, this map garnishes clear pathing so players of different caliber can enjoy the map.
Although asymmetrical, this map is balanced in structure. The entire map is built around a central building that is two levels with four drop points as to access the under-level; the under-level branches out allowing players to surface on the other side of the map. There is a main building with three windows. This map has height advantage, cover, and line-of-sight to players willing to risk being in the open. Given the strength of this positions, it is easy to get trapped here. Players looking to defend this building will find themselves flanked without great options for retreat. Streaming from the main building, which safely overlooks the map, there are two platforms that encircle the map. Cover is minimal while on these, but this inner circle is the quickest way from point A to B. A larger, covered pathway surrounds the inner.
Please forgive the quality of these pictures. Also, please ignore the start and completion dates of this map. It took a month to make and not three years.
Any comments or critiques are much appreciated.
