1. Phase 2 Balancing

    If you watched the gameplay provide on the YouTube link, you'll see some examples of flawed gameplay. For example: the last 10-15 minutes are easily dominated by covenant forces as the elites just hug the shield wall and wait to kill the Spartans as soon as they rear their heads.

    I wasn't a fan of this gameplay so I changed some stuff. To heavily discourage spawn killing right at the shield wall, I deleted many decoration items to put a highway right above the entrance where Spartans will...
  2. Fresh coat of paint.

    I updated some of the images to reflect what you'll find in game. Made some changes to scenery and gameplay scenarios to funnel players to more key spots of importance while focused on the objectives. Phase two was shifted a bit in power and extra weapons/vehicles spawns were added.

    Hi everyone!
    Here are the changes to Interstate 80:

    Phase 1:
    -Adjustments and protection barriers were created around spawns to prevent spawn killing.
    -Scenery objects and buildings were adjusted/moved and created to provide uniqueness to the setting and provide interesting gameplay opportunities
    -Unique power weapons were hidden throughout the city to encourage individual exploration
    -DMR and Needle rifle timers decreased and moved closer to spawn.

    FYI: When making this Invasion map, one thing I completely overlooked was the squad spawning mechanic. Oops.

    So after a week of playtesting further, some more issues were addressed and hopefully resolved. Here they are:

    - Before, at the start of phase two, Spartans didn't have one safe spawn zone (which I just noticed). :no: So once Elites died and simply spawned on their teammates still in the city... (most likely with the assassin loadout) and the spawn killing commenced....
  5. Balancing/Increasing the fun factor

    Stage 1: More respawn hills for Spartans were placed to give more variety to combat. Added a few more landmines to split up warfare.

    Stage 2: I replaced a large section of interstate to provide more cover/point of interests for both factions. The two rocket warthogs provided were replaced by a gauss hog and two regular warthogs. The gauss hog can be overpowered in other games but with the plasma grenades, banshee and wraith the Covenant receive for phase two, I feel like these balanced...
