This map was built for the Husky Raid Forge Contest using template #4. All objects on the map have been rotated so that the sunset creates a symmetrical series of shadows across this two lane bridge.
Each base has two doors that have a line of sight to the opposing base's doors. During play testing, it was found that this doesn't give snipers an advantage due to the variety of ways you can move from one side of the bridge to the other. There are connecting paths that join the two lanes just outside each base and on either side of the center pit in the form of two curved mini-bridges.
Along the outer edges of the main lanes are covered alcoves that a player can hop into to hide or for cover. Similar alcoves are located just outside each base along the base's exterior walls that give a diagonal line of sight.
An arrangement of potted plants, columns, and decorative railings provide enough cover to allow shotgun range attacks to surprise and overwhelm the opposition.
Once inside the base, the flag is seated firmly in the center on a raised platform. Each base has approximately the same openness from the original Husky Raid map with lighting provided by candles in two prayer spaces and by a locked door. Cover is provided by two large trees and two stone obelisks. A flag carrier can hop his or her way across the gaps between each lane, forcing opponents to jump after the carrier or out flank them entirely.
Additional interior lighting is provided by large paper lanterns that are supported by the stone obelisks. Feel free to climb all over the bridge, but be aware that invisible blockers prevent access to the green roof tops to keep players in the battle or in the water. If you do find yourself taking a swim, then please enjoy the fish that live below and the sound of the calming waters.
